I'd say to everyone, don't get caught up in the jet wash...step back and look at the overall landscape. Trump: tell everyone you are the only one who can fix things; continually denigrate the 4th estate as "fake news" thereby weakening the first amendment of the constitution; target the foundational components of our federal legal and judicial system as the "deep state"; espouse "nationalism" and "populism" over international business, trade, and community; and systematically tear down the fundamentals of our ability to execute "soft power" as a realistic alternative to militarism. These are the basic foundational aspects of Authoritarianism. Donald Trump is the most dangerous and potentially destructive president in our history.

He’s also being challenged by the right. All four of his immigration bills failed yesterday due to both sides. Neither party is willing to budge an inch to accomplish something.

Nothing, except we have a manufactured political crisis in play because the previous president chose to selectively ignore immigration laws. The manufactured political crisis is causing our lawmakers to act like retards.

I'm all for full steam ahead on deporting everyone here illegally. Congress can act to change the law, but it needs to be done in representation of our actual citizens and not in favor of people who aren't here legally. It seems the best path is one that deals with those already here and puts forth aggressive measures to stop future illegal immigration.

Certainly, there is liberal press and conservative press and press in the middle but each aspect has the freedom to publish and comment on the news. It's up to us to discern what the real truth is but when Trump simply calls the press and it's reporting "fake news" he is simply following the blueprint of media control identified with classic authoritarian regimes down through history. Fox has now become the Pravda of U S. media.

I would not call him an All-American Boy. His prolific sexual incidents make any other president a sissy in comparison. Trump is by far the number one cocksman of any president ever. And BTW he won because his opponent was so flawed.

When Trump had wife number three He also owned beauty pagents and several woman said he walked into their dressing rooms when they were naked and he responded that because he owned the beauty pagents that it was his right to do so. Several girls told this story.

There is much more in his life involving women including him saying he had his Viet Nam calling vaginas his land mines to avoid getting sexually transmitted diseases. He added he was a good and a brave Soldier by avoiding getting STDs.

BTW he avoided the draft several times of the actual Viet Nam War with five different exemptions including bunions on his foot.

Unlike Jerferson, JFK, Clinton who had documented affairs (there have been many more on both sides no doubt), trysts whatever While In Office, and in the case of Clinton actually IN the Oral Office, why did you "pull the lever" for the man ? Everything you reference about the Don happened prior to 11/16. Elections (and erections) have consequences. IF he is proven to have had any extra-marital activities in his tenure I'll be more than happy to abstain my vote in 2020

I'll leave it to SiL or any other Lawyer on here to decipher for you if the 1st establishes (legally) a "4th Estate" based on this language but I sure don't see it. As for FoxNews and Pravda, NYET !

Were you bothered by Barry's labeling of media establishments that weren't favorable to him? The examples of his call outs are numerous, starting just a few days into his presidency.

I have very mixed feelings about Trump. I liked his new Tax proposal I like on SOME but not all of the regulations he ended.
1, I hate the racism. "Sh*thole countries. Saying some White Supremacists are good people and his blanket ban on Muslims on and on and on.and on.
2. I hate the boorish behavior and HIS CONSTANT LYING
3. I hate what he says about victims of wife abuse complimenting the abuser. The abusers he supported were Roger Ales of Fox, Bill O'reilly, Roy Moore of Alabama, & that guy in his office who abused 2 wives and his girlfriend.
4. I hate his bigotry involving immigration. I KNOW we are in America which is built on immigrants. Yes we need secure borders and yes get the violent illegals and illegals who are lawbreakers out of our country. .
5. My great grandparents came from a foreign country as probably yours did also Gary.
Everybody in the US came here as immigrants except for the American Indians. Why all of this immigrant hatred.

35% to 40% of Americans support Trump 60% or 65% don't. The argument I have read here is the Polls were wrong on Hillary Clinton, The present polls on Trump with him in office not running for anything have been consistently the same numbers as I just posted in MANY POLLS. Only 35% to 40% are Trump's base of Support. 60% of Americans or higher dislike him.

I will not vote for a democrat (unless its Mark Cuban) but I definitely would not vote for Trump if he runs again. I should say HELL NO I would never vote for him again.

He's a pile of turds in many respects, but he's focused on bringing back American greatness. Screw the rest of the world. They can ride the coattails or sink. I'm tired of our country's leaders thinking globally instead of locally. Jobs and prosperity here are more important to me than what happens in any other country. They can compete on their own merits.

And I'm tired of the continual creation of victim classes to suit political needs. I was raised to respect the individual regardless of any "affiliation." When the focus became the active marginalization of marginalized groups during the reign of "the great uniter," I punched out. I refuse to marginalize anyone, even if they demand it.

Like I said I did like the Tax Plan but interestingly Wages are not rising. Yes, several business are giving a one time bonus (which is nice) but higher raises are nicer.
Many companies are getting meaner and leaner. Unemployment is low but we re probably close to a bottom 3.5 to 4% unemployment.

What kind of shocked me was when Amazon (a company that is doing great) said recently that they were laying off hundreds including many higher paid office workers and Walmart & ATT&T & COMCAST are laying off thousands. . Yes some companies are benefitting by lower taxes, but they are using the extra money into buying back shares or buying other companies

Trump does not talk about big companies laying off thousands of people after giving bonuses. All of these layoff stories just recently are happening This is not MAGA.

Amazon is laying off in Seattle. At the same time, they're opening new distribution centers all over the place and looking for a location for a 2nd headquarters. The net result is that they are adding thousands of jobs I don't know what's going on with Walmart, other than they started going downhill after Sam Walton died and now they are in full suck mode. But I'll guarantee you that thinkprogress.org is only telling you the story that fits their agenda. The information is out there if you're really interested in it, but it looks like you are happy to be led by left-wing media.

Might want to change your handle to bullenial.
