Even the Boz is questioning if it's time to move on from Stoops

Boz was a roided up madman who was selfish most of his attitude was due to the drugs. You saw the real Boz in the pros without help from roids
The Boz you saw in the pros is the "pro version" of most college stars that go to the NFL. He only played 2 years due to his shoulders, and how many LBs in their early 20s are going to dominate in the NFL like they did in college anyways? You sound more like you just have a personal dislike for Boz than anything else. Good grief....

Good point but the secondary has sucked before he came along, hard to pin a problem on this one guy that goes back much further than that. So move up the chain of command and see who has been there during the entire suckage. I'd argue that it was around even before Mike Stoops but not quite as bad.

We can blame the nature of the offenses we face and I'm sure that plays a part to some extent, but for the last 4-5 years it's just been really bad in my opinion which might be worth what you paid to hear it.

I felt like the secondary was our strong point on defense last year, but yes, that was a rare year. I would have thought coaching both Mbansor and Cobb would be a no-brainer. I can't believe neither of those guys are good enough to see the field.

I think it was at least serviceable last year so I'll give you that. For a long time it just hasn't been. The secondary just gets burned a lot. I wasn't a Sanchez fan but at least he made some plays on the ball, we are just running and waving arms it seems now.

Cobb also surprised me in a really bad way...he looked absolutely terrible.

On the plus side I'll give credit where credit is due, the O line that to me was the biggest problem we had early on has seemed to have improved to the point that we can at least run the ball now. So that is a big plus.

Rivals had a hiccup so my reply, which may have been my absolute best ever didn't post. Everyone's loss. But bottom line I predicted Will Sunderland becomes a star.

Rufus Alexander said it best I did it clean I didn't need Roids brother and I had the same passion as this guy! Boz broke the locker room code and never put the team first. Stoops is laughing at the Boz

What makes you think Boz cares if Stoops is laughing at him or not?? And roids have zero to do with the passion and heart a person plays sports with. So not sure where you are trying to go with your Rufus angle......

I will take Rufus and Curtis Lofton anyday as a leader and the Vocal leader of my team. Boz is a punk and welcomed back to the program even though he was a big reason for the probation. I'm proud to have the Stoops brothers running the Football program at a very high level

He should care because Stoops had him speak to the team before the season and brought him back into the fold. Boz is disgusting and a self absorbed jackass. I guess Casillas was right in the 30 for 30

I wouldn't exactly chalk up this season as "running at a very high level" at this point. I mean, nice recovery from a 1-2 start to beat an unranked Texas. So tap the brakes a bit.
You sound like you are just bitter or jealous of Boz or something.

We will see how it ends up.. I'm sure I will be right as usual and Ou will will end up in 11-2 and in the Sugar Bowl

Be right as usual? I've never witnessed a single instance where you have been right....about anything. Ever.
But hey...maybe this is your year to finally get that first mark in your own personal win column!!! LOL :D

The fact you are having to rely on Tony "OU Hater" Casillas to back up your opinion really goes to show how underprepared you were when you decided to respond to this thread.

I'm always right... last year I called each game. This team won't lose 1 game in conference! In the Stoops brothers I trust.

Called each game?? As in...your predictions?? So last year you called that OU would get embarrassed by Texas and would get demolished by Clemson??

That's the mark of a high rolling OU fan right there!!! LOL :D

Didn't get embarrased by Clemson.. you are so eaten up by the Stoops brothers you really should go root for a new team. I will take a playoff appearance any year. btw the Boys have put together a top 5 recruiting class! Boomer

Bottom line is everyone is entitled to their opinion. We do not have to like it or ageee with it but they can say what what they think. I think it does not matter what we think or what they think, Bob is here to stay until he has a couple of losing seasons in a row and that would probably not even get the seat warm. OU plays in a weak conference and that will not happen, losing seasons especially back to back. Like it or not Bob is here until HE decides its time to call it quits.

Well I guess you must have missed what Tony C had to say about your boy Mike S. Just in case you did here you go.

I think the biggest question (is) will he fire Mike Stoops after this season? Because defensively, they’ve got to get better.”

So does he go on your hate list also?

The best post that never was!!! Lol :D

Right. ESPN and my attorney are negotiating the contract for the 30 - 30 series scheduled to air Saturday, which is my 70th birthday. Coincidently, I have written Mike Stoops and asked him to grant a life long Sooner fan a birthday wish of a shut out against KSU Saturday just as last year. Well, that turned out to be a big mistake and will cost me the ESPN contract most likely. They seem to think that anything less than a shut out by the Sooner defense will ruin the whole basis of my 30 - 30 documentary. But there's still a chance! :)

I speak the truth... if anybody is hammering Mike Stoops for the D Saturday then they know nothing about football. Ou is playing guys most have never heard of because of injuries. D linemen not able to rotate because some guys don't want to play for selfish reasons. Walker should never see the field for mighty Ou ever again

You can't compare Bozworth to Spencer Tillman. Spencer was doing his job as an unbiased reporter. Box missed a huge bowl game because of stupidity. He also wrote a book that was anything but good for OU's image. The nut also says the program Barry Switzer built. Oh really Bud won 47 strait. Steroid Boz I lost respect for him. Loyalty is whining in these modern times if the going gets rough. Texas has been down long enough for UT fans to be less dillusional than OU message board fans. My Longhorn buddies think you guys are crazy wanting Stoops gone. I'm just amused with the logic used by some posters.
Excellent post Mister.

Take it easy.
OU's defense, with or without injuries, has been suspect so far this season, yielding 36 points per game...or 41 points per game excluding the ULM game. Lots of new faces at linebacker and secondary combined with a talent level overall that is not quite on par with being a championship caliber unit are the reasons as I see it.

You act like Mike's issues on defense have only came up this year. Did you just start following OU football this season or something??

I speak, at times... here, I usually type on a screen... truth? YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!

I did, however, handle a woman named Ruth, although I can't be sure, it might have been her stage name...

I judge a coach more on his bowl record than the conference record. The Big 12 nor the Big 8 are/were mighty conferences. Really very few are for any length of time. So, for me, I look at how we compete against other schools that have managed to earn a bowl spot. I'm just not pleased with Bob's bowl record and it's not about the win-loss record. It's how fricking bad his team's have lost. The Boise State loss didn't bother me THAT MUCH EXCEPT FOR A MONTH because it was a great play that beat us. But the West Virginia, USC, Texas A&M, Clemson games were so fricking bad it's just not bearable. Sorry, but I'm don't think Bob will ever win another national championship at OU. But I don't think I could name a better coach that the Sooners could hire at the present. That pisses me off.[/QU

Justin Fuentes at Va. Tech... Ex Sooner and a very good head coach. Bob has this year and next, then he hangs it up. His boys are juniors and once the go off to college to play Bob will retire so he watch them play. Gives Fuentes this year and next to prove he is can coach at a big time program.

Justin Fuente is a name to keep track of for sure. He really did a great job at Memphis. Will have to wait and see how he does at VTech now that he is at a major program. But him being a former Sooner QB, it would be pretty sweet to see him come in when Bob decides to hang it up.

Yes I watched his D shut down Greg Ward who had hardly any yards rushing and the D was really good last year especially late in the year. you have selective memory. Mike is not going anywhere you people who want him gone sound like idiots
