Notable absences: Damond Harmon, Nic Anderson. Both had a hand/wrist injury and weren't participating. Signee Gavin Sawchuk was on hand, just checking things out.

OK. Spent a lot of time today looking at the new guys.

*You can just see how long and lanky Nick Evers and Jayden Gibson are. They're not lying about their height, and you fully understand why Evers said he doesn't care about redshirting b/c he definitely has to put some weight on him.

*Some notable guys leading driils: RB Marcus Major, DL Jalen Redmond, DB Justin Broiles. Three OKPreps kids right there. Broiles stressing 'finish the drill' to a lot of the younger guys.

*Cool moment watching Marvin Mims coach up Gibson and how to run a drill and things like that.

*Defensive line transfer Jeffery Johnson didn't look as tall (I guess) than what I thought. Not a huge deal, but I guess I had it in my head he was taller.

*Terrible vantage point for offensive linemen, as usual. Sorry.

*Freshman safety Robert Spears-Jennings already looks the part. See how quickly he can put it all together.

*Guys like Marcus Stripling, Clayton Smith were working with Bates and Chavis. I'm so intrigued by Smith, but I was last year too.

*Good to watch Dillon Gabriel throw, obviously. And strange to see a lefty again.

*Quite a few numbers on the roster sheet didn't match up with who was out there so is what it is in that regard.

*If I think of more, I'll post more.

OT: Book Recommendations

About to head to the beach next week on vacation and looking for some book recommendations. I really enjoy historical fiction (Bernard Cornwell, CS Forester, etc) but have pretty much read through the authors I'm familiar with. Was thinking of reading The Peripheral / William Gibson just because I've started the new show. But figured y'all might have some recommendations...

Let's Control the Volume!!!

This season hasn't went how we expected or wanted, however this is our last home game. This could be our last home game against li'l okie st in a long time. This is a HUGE recruiting weekend. This is a primetime game under the lights on ABC. We can't control how the coaches coach or the players play, but we CAN make some noise and help push them to victory.

Get excited, show early, be loud, have fun, and let's do OUR part to control the volume! Time for a big time game to end our home season right, BOOMER SOONER!!!

As an extra bit and for Josh, this thread is being written from the Orlando Airport enroute to the Palace on the Prairie!
