OT: Fam, if it's been awhile, get you a physical

The situation with Coach Leach is so very sad...heartbreaking, actually. If you haven't done so in awhile, get you a physical. So many things can go wrong (particularly with the heart) that have literally no warning signs until it's too late. If you are a person like me who normally feels well physically, your health can become an after-thought. It can't hurt to be proactive and have your numbers ran once a year, and if a problem does arise from your visit, it's much better to have whatever it is taken care of then, until waiting until it's too late.

We can get along, argue, or whatever around here. The fact of the matter is, I like you folks, and would like to keep you all around as long as possible.

2023 DL Depth

I could be missing 1-2 people, but after looking into it, I am becoming exceedingly more concerned with our DL depth now (It also looks like we will have only 4* total DE's for the bowl game). With this, I thought there would be a more outward sense of urgency with the Portal (i.e. more offers given). Obviously having to play true freshman is never ideal, but I believe that is especially true for a front 7 player. Maybe a lot more is happening behind the scenes, just something I think that could be a major concern going into the next 2-3 weeks.
**EDIT: I am not under any impression that the coaches who do this for a living don't recognize this as a problem, I am well aware they are working on it. Just thought this thread was an interesting topic, especially as we get into the next couple of weeks, and as more portal options get added/removed**

Brayden Willis invited to Senior Bowl ...

FWIW, I'd imagine the plan is for him to still play in the bowl game but Brayden Willis has accepted a Senior Bowl invite. Very well deserved.

Teammates Eric Gray, Wanya Morris and Jalen Redmond have accepted invites to play in the Senior Bowl and have opted out of the Cheez It Bowl.

Going over some tape of his (no real highlights to speak of just game tape here and there) but watch him at the 2:42 mark (in case the video doesn't start in the right spot) take on the tackle, slide under him and make a nice play at the goal line - his first snap of the game.

BV on Ashton Sanders w/o saying 'Ashton Sanders'

This was from two weeks ago, talking about being physical.

"There’s plenty of guys we’re trying to recruit. I got a guy right now that we’re trying to recruit that ain’t real big in stature, OK, but plays super physical. Super physical. I don’t think you have to be bigger, you have to play more physical. Some of that, what I’m talking about, that’s a talent, too. Your ability to strike, your timing, your ability to uncoil, there is a talent to that. You can get guys more physical by growth and development and weight room, the experience, the certainty, the aggressiveness that comes along with playing a lot and knowing what you’re supposed to do. Anticipating leads to being more physical. I just named, like, 10 things that allow you to be more physical.

"You want to recruit guys that run to the fire, I promise you. You can recruit your problems or your solutions. As we recruit, we’re looking at guys that love to hit and that can run. Those are the two things that are really important."
