Marvin Mims top 5 returning WR

Looking at stats looks like he lead the top 40 WR in yards per catch. Think all top 25 had more catches than him, but he was still there with yards. He had better stats than Jordan Addison (USC), and Quinton Johnston (TCU). Didn’t have better stats than the two UW boys Rome Odunze, and Jalen Macmillan, and at one point I remember all 3 of those WR’s we thought may be in the same WR class at OU. With his drops, and not getting 2 TD’s out at the one yard line. Gotta be a top 5 returning WR in country with Boutte, J Brooks

Question about portal/personnel

DE Travion Ford, Missouri: Need position, previously recruited, close proximity AND from a HS and College that OU has gotten guys before……… Yet, crickets - is it injuries? production? attitude?

What’s the word ?

WR Braylin Pressley, Oklahoma State: Need position, dynamic, adds multiple skills WR, RB and….adds value in the return game, BV and crew recruited him last season, possibility that his brother joins him….? Yet, crickets - is it size? is it the staff considers other portal WR as just plain better?

Again, seeking clarity.

Scouting the Hogs?

I expect what I expect from a top 10 team. They’re really athletic. They play hard. They put pressure on you in so many areas. They put pressure on you in transition. The way they can create and playmake. They put pressure on you with their athleticism. Their ability to score in bunches and how fast they play. They put pressure on defense. They’re going to press you and pick you up. They’re long and athletic. They play hard. All the things that a top 10 team does.

Jalen Hill is the Masked Assassin?
“He had surgery successfully yesterday. All went well. I texted him at like six in the morning, then I got a text from Seth at like eight oclock that it went well. Then I get a text from Jalen at like 8:40, ‘All good, coach.’ I go, ‘Jalen, you’re not supposed to text me this fast after surgery. Wait a while. You don’t have to text me at like 8:40 after a surgery at 7:30.’
“So yesterday was a day off and he rested, so I’ll see him today. But he’s got the clearance to practice. He said he liked — the first day he practiced with a face mask that we just had here while his was getting fitted. He got a fitted one for the game. It’s not ideal, but it is what it is. He’ll be wearing the mask. He’ll be available, and he’s ready to go.”

That sucks about Brazile, no?
“I feel horrible for the young man. I got to know him a little bit in the recruiting process, I got to meet him one time. Really nice kid. Really was playing well, so yeah you feel for him. That said, where do they go from here? They still have four more guys on the NBA Draft board. They’re so athletic, they’re so good. Their guards, they’ve got bigs, they come in with other bigs. So yeah, it’s so unfortunate for him because he was really playing well.

Los' first start response?
“Everything you want. He was just super confident. Just really confident. His confidence has been growing anyways. And I thought he gave us a pace, gave us an energy level. He plays both ends. Plays defense. I think he had five assists and 11 points. Just his confidence right out of the gate, to take that first shot of the game. But his confidence is growing. The teammates confidence in him…so I thought he handled it well. And I thought he did a nice job. And I know for him, it’s what can you do to get better? I think that's what all our guys are striving for. What can we do to get better moving forward?”

Godwin told his parents 'I'm going to OU':
“Once I told him he’s got a spot on our team it was over. I get chills thinking about it. That’s one of the reason why we went. Our conversations were about how much he loved Oklahoma. Loved the Oklahoma Sooners. Wanting to play for your state. That was a big thing for me too. Once they knew he had a spot on the team, he didn’t want to talk to anybody. You love that. You love that. As a fan you should love it. As a coach you should love it. He really, truly loves Oklahoma. Loves playing for the university of Oklahoma. And that means a lot.”

Garrick McGhee WR coach candidate?

I haven't heard anything, but I'd be onboard with bringing this former Sooner back home. Would be a Home Run hire imo. He was a landing alot of guys at Florida.
