An update on 2026 DB target Evenson Malaska

It is admittedly a brief update here, but wanted to share what I picked up yesterday in Bethany (Okla.) on 2026 cornerback offer Evenson Malaska. He is obviously the younger brother of current OU cornerback Jocelyn Malaska, and Oklahoma is the only school to date that has offered Evenson. The Sooners are in good shape here, enough so that Evenson doesn't even plan to camp anywhere else this summer. His recruitment has yet to really take off, largely due to a broken ankle he suffered last July that hampered him throughout his sophomore season. But the Sooners saw him early, offered him early and have made him feel the love. The family as a whole has a ton of admiration for the OU staff and program. Jay Valai has done great work here. It would be a surprise if Evenson ended up committing anywhere else.

OUI 2024 Survivor Pool - Week 6

Surprise upsets by Kentucky and Coach Prime took down the Lane Train and UCF, respectively in Week 5, bringing down a total of seven competitors. We were down to only one "administrative" elimination. Maybe we're done with those for the season? A fond farewell to our erstwhile competitors:

Misled by Ole Miss (2) - @AllCats22 , @SapperOak
Kneed in the Knuts by the Knights (5) - @Cave_Creek_Sooner , @FlyLikeASooner , @HRLwarren , @ouiscool, @Stuck In Mexas
Forgot We Were Doing This (1) - @okcmo2003

So, the game reset looks like this. Our 214 players have now been whittled down to 130. Meanwhile, the FBS ranks feature only 19 undefeated teams to choose from.

Post your Week 6 selections in the thread below!

Thx for the love..

Hey guys,
Pops passed this week and only God could have urged me home the day before his death. I jumped on a plane, not fully knowing why and with zero notice, my dad was gone the next day.

Anywho...I'll grieve and remember him. Thats not why I'm posting. I'm posting because I just saw the aTm vs Mizzou game and I'm convinced...we make simple fixes up front and i think mainly with motion and plays at or behind the LOS and I think we fix a lot of our offensive issues.

There's no way we can't manufacture stress on the edges of defenses with minor tweaks and intentional motion. We do that with a healthy offensive line and there's no reason why we can't score 27 to 31 a game. It'll be interesting to see how seth attacks defenses the second half of the season. He knows all eyes will be on him and i think he knows it's 50/50 in terms of those who wanna see him improve vs those who want him to hurry and fail so we can get a real OC in.

Ill know around the 3rd quarter of OU/tx if this is fixable (in my mind) on next Saturday...and i also know my pops will be yelling Boomer from above every second Saturday in October until I see him again.

Btw...thank you for the love. Its greatly appreciated.
