In the event they call the Perfect 10 Challenge, OU scored 198.075 to easily outdistance the 2nd place Washington Huskies who scored 196.250. Arizona State, also of the Pac 12 was 3rd with 195.650 George Washington 4th with 194.975.
The Sooners had a bauble or two. But they overcame it to improve after what Coach Kindler called a a performance that needed improvement, last week in Denver.
For the first time since her injury, Maggie Nichols competed in three events. She added Vault, after doing only Bars and Beam for nearly a month. She had scored 9.975 on both the previous two meets. She added a 9.925 on Vault and had a 9.975 on Bars. But she had a balance check on Beam that led to eliminating the 2nd part of a continuity that cost her point on Vault, resulting in a 9.700.
The highlight of the meet was the 10.0 scored by Freshman Olivia Trautman on her speciality, the Floor. She also score 9.975 on Vault and 9.850 on Beam.
Anastasia Webb had her best performance of the year, easily winning the All Around with four scores of 9.9 or better. Her high score was 9.925 on both Floor and Vault. Trautman won Floor and Vault. NIchols won Bars. OU has five of the top six scores in the meet on Bars.
The highest score in meet on Beam was 9.9 by both Brenna Dowell and Webb.
The meet will be rebroadcast on Fox Sports Southwest at 9 a.m. in the morning, and likely on FSO, though I don't have a way to confirm that.
The Sooners go to West Virginia for a conference dual next weekend (Sunday) before hosting UCLA the following Sunday. The Bruins are defending national champs and likely OU's biggest remaining regular season challenge, though the following week, they have two road matches in three days at Michigan and Iowa State. So far, OU is undefeated this season in the regular season.

Correction. Brenna Dowell won the All Around with 39.675 to Webb's 39.650. Anything over 39.6 is really good. That is over a 9.9 average.
