And don"t forget that big goose egg. When was OU's last shutout? I will have to look it up, memory fades me in my old age.
The announcers mentioned it during the game, but I forgot. We had some 4th teamers in the 4th quarter. Very impressive effort from both sides of the ball......
What I think is funny and tragic at the same time is this: IF we would have played half again as well last week as today, the Sooners may be 6-0 right now...

Yep, I'm thinking the last time we threw a defensive naught, I had two paternity suits going against me...Not proud of that by any means either.
Hmm....then why is it others who are resorting to calling these 2 posters dumbasses, idiots, morons, stupid, delusional, know nothing about football, etc.......
Fact is, there are a handful of posters on here who have such an over-inflated ego about themselves, that they feel they have to resort to such attacks against anyone who questions, or disagrees with them. In their own legendary minds, their opinion is beyond questioning, and anyone who does question it or disagree must be one of the adjectives I listed above.

It's all good...OU won today, big time...it'd take a massive 11 point earthquake to bring me down now.

Yep I was mad all week and usually never get that upset over a loss but it just seemed like OU just mailed it in. I am happy today, maybe things are starting to come together, we will see.
Man losing to Texas always sucks. But even more frustrating knowing if OU had shown up with half the energy they did today, they would have blown out Texas. But ya can't win them all. I would just rather lose to anyone else but friggen Texas. I have to live down here with these clowns. Always makes for a long year. But damn good to get back on the winning side today. That sure beats the hell out of the alternative.....losing 2 in a row!!!

I've always felt there were two sides to this board and their actions can and do dominate the board. When I was a Moderator, I tried to rid all of them from the board. Harmony can prevail. I of course failed in this endeavor as I pissed off everyone that squawked like hens. Now that the board has technically changed and the ignore button is in play, it's pretty sweet. I now can control the board to my liking w/o pissing off everyone. Tailoring the board to remove certain posters is like 'banning' them all over again and I enjoy reading the board more. I suggest others do the same. I'm sure some have me on ignore as well. But so be it.

Your post said it all. You really tried to make everybody follow the rules as it was written. As you said, it didn't work any better than a law that was written about a horse drawn carriage. We are going to argue or this board will die.....JMO

I'm in fat, tall cotton with this ignore thing.
It fluctuates on any given day...very fluid, but I have 3 to 7 extremists on ignore all the time.
It's great...it eliminates a lot of issues that slows the flow of the board down.
Then, on my discretion, I'll put, or take off someone on or off of ignore.
I'm in control...total control...
I like control...it's validating...
I know of several.
I have never e-mailed a mod or ownership. I had one ask me to e-mail him and I did. He wanted a date..............HA! JJ

My point is that some seem to welcome you back by reverting back to their unsavory (my opinion) ways. My opinion on the matter will most likely fail to bear fruit when posting histories are considered. But, I can always hope. Hope is a wonderful thing. As is faith.
The Scoop allows me to be a nobody for the most part. I choose to be a somebody here on occasion when I think I have a positive message to impart and as long as that message is permitted. But, mostly, I choose to be a somebody elsewhere where I know I can make a positive impact. My walk is very important to me. The Scoop is purely recreational for me.
Whatever you decide and whatever is in your best interests, never forget that I have the utmost respect for you even if my direct actions might imply something different. They truly don't. We are a part of the same Brotherhood. That matters more to me than the Scoop and OU ever will.
