Guess what...Hurts is a better version of Ehlinger. If you're honest with yourself, you can see that coming too. We'll see how it plays out but IMO and for the foreseeable future, Texas will be good but OU will be better. At least the Horns are relevant again which is something they haven't been able to say for about a decade.
In terms of both intellect and personality, as long as Riley is at OU and Herman is at Texas, OU will have an advantage. Frankly, Tom Herman comes off as a decent coach but also a douche. Between hitting himself with a sledgehammer, kissing his players, his post-OSU loss nonsense, and whining about the WVU QB extending the ball across the goal line on a two point conversion (and I'm probably forgetting a couple) WTF? In the long run it will cost the Horns because people will see through the strangeness of his personality.
As far as the questionable logic of our resident Horn troll...a three point win in the last minute of the RRS is an "ass whipping" but an 11 point win in the conference championship game (in which Texas gained less than 100 yards rushing) is some sort of moral victory--get serious.
