None of this matters until OU can stop putting a poor-to-mediocre defense on the field and the Kansas State meltdown reflects that there's a lot of work and time to do in that regard.

Regardless what happens between now and Nov 30, Senior is correct - Mediocre is an Upgrade from recent years.

I agree. How many times the past several years have we heard about the players doing all this ra ra stuff before the game only to come out and lay an egg. Emotions can only take you so far
Yeah, mark that under Captain obvious. The defense has/is improved with the arrow pointing up. Upgrading a football unit (i.e. the defense) is a process, not an event.

Very true, and that will happen when better results are shown on the field to attract defensive recruits. So Grinch must get the talent on hand to play better to get these better results.
Alabama recruits great defensively because of its great reputation and reputations are built over many years.
Red November is about red for embarrassment. Less about OUr team than OUr fans. I've heard all this complaining about the times of games. So we get a mid 50's kickoff start at 7 p.m. and 10,000 people are gone by the mid 3rd, That included a sizable portion of the student section. They didn't have any drive home.
On a big recruiting weekend, I was embarrassed by OU fans Saturday night. The worst looking sellout I've ever seen.
