That'd be about 13 to 14 more years than me. I don't think I'll even make it to 72 to be honest. Such as it is, I'm constantly updating, adjusting, and working on the bucket list.
They project by 2040 that Hispanics will be the majority populace in Texas. Remember the Alamo. I love San Antonio it's a cool place and I love Mexican food so who cares. Besides that I'll be dead.
No, incoherent. Meaning my brain won't care what's going on around me. Unable to comprehend. Old, useless and not cared about, except by somebody with the same affliction. And maybe their children will be helpful.
But I'd be very surprised to make it to 88 or 89.
Good point by Tulsan: through all the rhetoric we hear about OU "raiding" Texas for high school talent, we never hear about how the legacy of Texas football since 1957 was made possible by Darrell Royal (an Oklahoman and OU All American).
To belittle OU for recruiting in Texas is silly and very lame. Does that mean that all high school boys must play college ball in their home state ? Utter nonsense. Not even Alabama could have the success it has if it only recruited instate.
Me too, 2088 is a long way off...
I thought you were older than 16, but it would explain a lot.
I could have sworn I saw you play Pony League 25 years ago. Give or take.

Oops. Do I need to delete that?
Coach Tuck was a good guy, but we have very few conversations. When I was working for the little paper in Plano, Maxie was the varsity baseball coach. So I seldom interviewed Tuck. But he knew that I was coaching a lot of kids and offered to give my oldest a free hitting lesson, which he took. But I didn't love his philosophy and my oldest didn't want to go back. I think I talked to Coach Tuck maybe a dozen times, until I was coaching in PSA football when Terry's oldest was in the league. He'd been a pretty big time baseball player in hs and maybe college. Made AAA in the minors, but I don't think he is in the MLB player registry. Still, he knew his baseball and had a good demeanor for a high school coach.
Have no idea where he is these days.
What would Texas be if it wasn't for the Oklahoma coaches they've gotten through the years?
He was. I don't know where he ran off to, either. I played for him and he definitely knew his baseball, had been a pro scout as well. A pretty good guy, even if he did make me cut my hair...
OU would have never been successful if not for coaches from Minnesota, Arkansas and Iowa. And referring that Mack Brown was an OU coach is pushing the evelope since he only coached at OU for a year.
Yet he referenced his time at OU as the job that got him recognized as a HC candidate.
Regardless, in the land of Whorndom, an OU All American's name is on their stadium. That's a fact.
Why would a guy who just won a national title leave that school? I know he played at OU, but he had a recruiting advantage that could never be replicated at OU in that time frame.
As you might be as well, I'm wired now that a lot of stimulus' will remind me of a song.
This time it was:
"Almost cut my hair"...David Crosby
Pretty good oldie from the fabulous 70s.
So what. He was the same guy that snubbed OU when the school asked to discuss leaving Texas to come coach OU when Bud hung it up. So Gomer was named head coach. Edit. Actually Royal turned down the job after Gomer resigned. Jim MacKenzie was hired after Vince Dooley declined to interview and stayed at Georgia.
Actually...was referring to Darrell Royal...and it was a jab/joke...an old one with Horn fans.OU would have never been successful if not for coaches from Minnesota, Arkansas and Iowa. And referring that Mack Brown was an OU coach is pushing the evelope since he only coached at OU for a year.
