Great..... the chips on the Tide's shoulders must be the size of Gibraltar by now.
Most days, I'm 50-50...or 'Undecided'. Today, this tipped my thoughts to 55 Heart...45 Head. It changes, daily...I'm tired of this Waiting Game...Ready to PLAY...Only 10 More Days...Run, Clock, Run!Alabama has three defensive players projected to be taken in the first round of the 2019 NFL draft. One is a defensive lineman, one a LB and one a safety.
For OU to win, I believe the OL will have to play its best game so that Murray, the backs and the receivers can do their work effectively.
OU has not faced a defense as elite as Alabama's and scoring a ton of points....45-48 or more....seems to be the only way for OU to have a chance, because the defense can't be relied upon to hold Alabama under 40 points.
OU can show up and win or at least scare Alabama as it did against Georgia or play on a level that would remind us of USC's 55-19 or Clemson's 40-6 defeats.
I believe OU needs to play a great game, win or lose. Doing so would not ease the disappointment, but getting mauled would, to say the least, give OU a big black eye on its image and reputation as a national power. I, personally, have seen enough of that already.
Sez E-Z...Duz Hard, CT...I'm with you, Senior.
I keep thinking that Alabama, even with its monster defense, has never faced an offense like Oklahoma's.
But then, it IS Alabama, the team and program that is, or should be, the template for every college team to pattern itself after.
This game to me will end up as a game for the ages regardless of who wins.....or another disappointing lopsided loss by OU and another year removed from that great 2000 championship season.
I will watch the game with no expectations.
