I am a big guy too, lifted weights my whole life and I can guarantee you I have never nor never will hit a woman, its a no win situation regardless if you are a wuss and are scared she is gonna whip your butt. I guess it depends on your upbringing, I was raised different.

I do not know if Mixon is glad he hit her or not. That makes no difference. We all have made split second decisions in life only to regret it later. I have had arguments with friends turn to a fist fight and we are later laughing about how stupid it was. So Mixon missed a year of college football. Big deal. Mixon got a good deal he saved a year of beating on his body by not playing. So means another year of playing in the NFL. So he will still make his money if you missed what he did at the combine. His talents are insane and he will be rewarded. I am glad your upbringing and morals do not allow you to hit a woman no matter the situation. The big bad woman? Give me a break.

I don't think she got a free ride. I think she had her face caved in. I'm sure that hurt for a minute.

If 2 dudes were going to fight and one was standing there with his fists in the air ready to go toe-to-toe, but then the other dude pulled out a gun and shot him dead where he stood, we'd all talk about what a punk the guy with the gun was.

Compared to Amelia, Mixon was the dude with the gun. It's over though. He handled his punishment, and he moved on, so did I.

What if he had killed her? He is much stronger than she is, then what? We would all be saying Poor Joe had so much talent he could have been rich but now he is in the Pen and a talent is wasted. Give me a break. He should have walked away, she was no threat to him at all, it could have cost him a lot more than it did, he was lucky in that regard. Takes a big man to hit a woman but if you are a valuable asset to a big time football program you can survive it, sends a clear message for sure as you said so what he missed a year of football.

You call the cops and let them handle it if she assaulted you. What is so hard about that to understand? Nothing good will ever come of it if you are a man hitting a woman, EVER! Not saying I have never wanted to knock a ho's lights out all I am saying is you have to man up and be smarter than that.

I didn't say he should've had hit her back. I just put the question out there. If you don't want to hit a women back that your busy. People just act like she the victim and her parents should've taught her better. She should not have been drunk in the first place.
