An example why it's really not always practical to compare former players. Bud's teams wouldn't match up well with Barry's teams, and Barry's teams wouldn't match up that well with Bob's. Each era's players were/are elite and successful for their time, so that's all that matters.

I cannot describe just how much I enjoyed watching that. I was sorry about the technical glitch that started when we led 25-0 and didn't end until we were up 34-7, but Auburn was a terrific team with the Heisman winner and we dominated them, including our first team defense. They scored 7 against our healthy, to group, and 15 against second and third team defenders. And Mildren was brilliant.
