OT: RIP to our wallets… PGA Superstore coming to OKC

PGA Superstore

Looks really cool. Excited to see it and probably spend too much money there haha.

“In addition to a massive amount of merchandise such as clubs, apparel and shoes for men, women and children, the store will offer certified golf pros and personalized lessons. There will be a large area dedicated to tennis as well.

Also, swing simulators for lessons and custom club fittings, performance bays with swing analysis, and a 2,000-square-foot putting green.

PGA Tour has 67 locations in 22 states; this will be the chain's first store in Oklahoma.”

I love a QB who stands strong in the pocket... but

there comes a time when you should start to brace for impact.

Thunder tickets for Jan 30th vs Golden st...Best place to buy tickets??

Looking to take my 10 yr old to his first pro. BB game. Live in Mizzu and I'm coming in town for my father 82nd BDay. Just looking for the best place to get non nose bleed tickets to the Thunder game against GSW. I've been to ticket master and seatgeek. Thought some of you well connected members might have a better option. If not, I'll probably just go through ticket master. Thanks!

Admin...If this needs to go to a different board, that's all good. Just thought this might be the best place for advice.

SIAP OT: Bill Belichick and Pamela Anderson

Thought this was funny and wanted to share. My apologies if you already saw this (last Pamela Anderson Post was in July).

Tease vs Fitzgerald

Triangle numbers are important (height, weight and speed)…..
And, I don’t have a preference here personally because, I’m not watching film with the eye of a coach ……. Or talking to people around them to gain a grasp on their character and work ethic (though, Tease would gain an advantage here….. in familiarity)

HOWEVER - who makes competitive catches ?
That gentleman is the most important factor…. The three greatest college WR this university has produced were: Mark Clayton, Ryan Broyles and Sterling Shepherd ……. neither were 6’, OR overly physically impressive….. but they made competitive catches in important games at critical times.

Winners

No disrespect to C.D. (who was a badass)

Competitive catches, not height.

Wednesday Notes...(UPDATE: 3:58p)

UPDATE: 3:58p - Oklahoma has set up a visit this weekend with La Tech wide receiver transfer Cleveland 'Tre' Harris.

As I've said a few places I'm under the impression he is their current No. 1 target at receiver in the portal so this would be big.

ORIGINAL: OK guys after my WOKE report I pretty quickly got a call from a source that told me I need to check on my timing of the Notre Dame and Oklahoma visits for five-star safety Peyton Bowen.

Well after speaking with a few people I'm expecting Oregon in-home tonight, Notre Dame tomorrow, and Oklahoma with the final pitch.

I, along with @Nick Harris, am checking on a few other things in play but I can tell you I'm feeling as good as ever in the Sooners chance to flip Bowen.

PODCAST: Sooners keep adding players, but some needs remain

Even though we haven't talked to a football player since the end of the regular season, there's not been a time when this much is happening between the end of the season and a bowl game. The Sooners are picking up commitments from the portal and the recruiting trail. And they're looking to close strong heading to the early National Signing Day. Could there even be a Bedlam transfer in the works? We also talk about the receiver position where the Sooners seem to moving on from player after player. Josh has a new forecast for a 2023 recruit and we talk about OU trying to make another run at an entertainment district/arena in Norman. We also give our thoughts on the tragic loss of Mike Leach.

Ozark comes to mind. Wendy would have met with a gruesome ending orchestrated by Marty.

The number 1 for all of us should be a tie between OU-Kansas in 1988 with OU winning the first 2 episodes.

OT: Crazy Christmas tradition

So I think I've mentioned on the board before that I served my Mormon mission in Southern Belgium and Northern and Eastern France. I started out in the town of Epinal in Eastern France, right along the Vosges mountains. The patron saint of Epinal is St. Nicholas, so being there during the holiday season was a big deal. In that part of France St. Nicholas brings toys to hide in children's shoes on December 6th, but he doesn't come alone. He has a helper ... Le Pere Fouettard (The Whipping Father.) He's covered in soot and carries a switch which he uses to beat naughty children. In some origin stories he was previously a butcher who cannibalized children and is forced to serve St. Nicholas as penance. I remember attending a Christmas parade in Epinal and seeing St. Nicholas and thinking "who the hell is that with him?" It was Le Pere Fouettard.

Anyway, this feels like a tradition worth spreading. Please share it with your children tonight and scare the living crap out of them.
