5-8

Here is OU’s offensive leaders in first half:
Passing: Hawkins 6/10 51yds fumble
Rushing: Hawkins 12 car 19yds
Receiving: Kearney 1 rec 15yds

This ain’t Auburn. Neither is Missouri, S. Car, Ole Miss, Alabama, LSU.

The only other team this team beats is Maine. I’d also bet they don’t pass for over 200yds or rush for over 150yds.
Final score something like 30-10
Defense scores
Special teams scores on a muffed punt.

We are all going to have to face it. These ain’t the good ole days. We were blessed with Stoops and even Riley(I said it). Defense is really good now and can be great but, OU has nobody to recruit great offense players or to play all great games.

This team goes 5-8 barring any kind of miracle 6-7.

And the only way they’re going to do anything about it is if people stop giving them money.

Who Elevates Today? - Individual Performances to Watch

Who will stand out in the RRR/Which players must have a HUGE impact for Oklahoma to win the game?

1️⃣ Eli Bowen has been Oklahoma’s most physical corner. His PFF is through the roof as a newcomer because of the fluidity he has showed up with and tremendous reaction time. Some of the best mirroring capability I have seen in a corner at Oklahoma since Aaron Colvin.

2️⃣ While I have notably not been his biggest fan, and was rightly skeptical when we heard all the hype out of fall camp, Jovantae Barnes is still the player the Sooners will roll with for the lion-share of the snaps. If Oklahoma runs power concepts, I believe he will be far more successful.

3️⃣ Jayden Jackson, Gracen Halton, Damonic Williams & Dajon Terry all need to win their matchups today. Oklahoma needs to be able to handle the run with their front four. If this is done, then the Sooners will have a chance.

4️⃣ This will be R. Mason Thomas’ game in which he puts the country on notice. I believe his explosiveness an confidence he’s developed helps to reduce any possible advantage that Texas has on the edge on passing downs. This game has been won by the team that dominate the defensive line of scrimmage and this year will be no different.

Fearless Prediction:

Sooner WR, Jaquiaze Pettaway goes for 100+ yards receiving. Upon watching a good chunk of the last two games, Pettaway can WIN in his routes. If Hawkins is able to deliver the throws on target and in rhythm, it won’t take more than a few receptions for Pettaway to get close to 100 and I think Oklahoma will need it in order to win the game. I also look for the atmosphere to bring out the best in terms of explosive plays.

Minimum Acceptable Offensive Production vs Texas

I am thinking if Seth can engineer and scheme the offense to score 20+ points against Texas, then there is hope and we know he can be creative and scheme things.
Anyhing like 17-18 or less points in a loss , will confirm Seth has serious limitations and cannot take this offense to the next level.

Am not expecting crazy numbers on offense as Texas Defense is stout and OU will need all the help from the defense to get scores from turnovers.

Any input fellow sooners ? what is the minimum expectation from the offense in this game ?

All you can eat Ketchem talking about the 1990 RRS describing he was still a huge Baylor fan

He doesn't recall that game because He grew up a Baylor fan and only watched Texas when it was Baylor's turn to play Texas in the SWC and he remembers Baylor was 6 of 9 during the time he cheered for Baylor from 1984 to 1992. then Baylor went on a long losing streak against Texas like 13 games he said, and that is when he became a longhorn fan...Sounds awful fishy to me how you bail On Baylor when they start losing...
