Over on Orangebloods

Over on Orangebloods there is hardly any mention of OU by the mods. Ketch is talking up A&M as a huge game, and most of the others are looking past us to Georgia and, yes, even Vanderbilt. What few references there are talked about their 0-49 win of 2 years ago, like it's given that something similar will happen this year.

In their ARROGANCE, they are overlooking OU again. Their egos are as inflated as Ketch's belly.

Methinks the time is ripe for their yearly ass-whoopin'!

Texas fans

My friends in texas have been very quiet as of late. Usually they are all boisterous and over stimulated like Bevo's utter.
But they have all told me they think they are walking into a storm. I hope they are right. You get a few outliers saying they will win 77-0 and a few saying OU will dominate, but the consensus has been they think it will be close and even have OU sneaking one out.

Project Rudy: What is it, and why do you need to keep an eye on it?

Several decision-makers in college football are backing a Super League proposal named "Project Rudy."

After reading an expansive report on the proposal, here's what you need to know about what could be the future of college football...

Offensive Identity

Since this place is crawling with offensive coordinators and the like, what do you think their identity should be given the current personnel?
Strictly spread?
Pro-style?
Multiple?

Just curious what your thoughts are.
I'd like to see a more balanced attack. I still think RPOs would work well with 15 or 17 in slot and the bigger guys out wide.
The TEs trying to wham block and kick out ends split zone have been brutal. I'd stop that right away. Keep them inline or nub and move them around to help block and release as a safety valve. I will catch crap for saying this but I really like Sarks scheme at texas.
I read some poster was wanting to see a Michigan type offense......need some OL for that. okie lite has a decent scheme and run game.
With that being said, you need some different personnel to run a few of these schemes. I just can't figure out what they want to do.
What's your favorite and why?

OU/TX Rivalry - Historical Observation- A position weakness suddenly is strength in this game.

Being 68 yrs old, I can’t tell you how many times either OU or UT has a weakness at a position, etc., and during this game the so called weakness plays “lights out”….the best game they ever had. That’s what I love about rivalries. To this coming Saturday, maybe OU offense finally comes alive with the WR’s and RB’s playing lights out.
