Go get the coach from Indiana

I was an OU student in the 90s.
We had replaced Switzer from within. Not excluding the Schnellenberger debacle, we tried to stay "within the family" and hired Blake.
After three years of failure, we realized we have to think differently and hire OUTSIDE THE FAMILY.
We went after a young defensive coach from Florida and the rest is history and a new ERA was started.

Now...we replaced Stoops from within the family.
We replaced TBOW from within the family.

It's been 3 years and we're back in 1998.

It's now time to think beyond and officially think outside the family and go get someone new TO START A NEW ERA.

The guy at Indiana is a winner and has SEC experience.
GO GET HIM!

Gabriel Makes Every Team He Plays For Better…

Watching Dillon Gabriel play makes me really happy for the guy. When you look back he has made every team he’s played for, better. UCF, OU and now Oregon. Dudes a baller. Not sure if his game translates to the NFL but, Baker did and is doing well. Kyler as well. It sucks he won’t be seen as an OU player in the NFL though.

Jalil Farooq Injury

Sorry if this has been asked but I believe @Brandon Drumm posted a few weeks ago he was targeting this week to return. Now that the report is out and he’s officially listed as “out” and BV didn’t make it seem like he was close, what’s the realistic timeline? Seems at this point he should just sit until the final three games to preserve a redshirt and return.

Joe John Finley

I asked this question is complete honestly and mean no joking way

What does Joe John really do on game day and offensive preparation for this team? Does he actually have say or any input on the field on game days? We have seen other programs give up play calling to staff like the Jets or college teams, is Joe John actually the co or was that title just place for pay?

I miss Chuck Long

OU had the most powerful offense in the nation when he was OC in '03 & '04. How he transformed Jason White is unheard of. Jason came to OU as a dual threat QB but he was mainly known for his feet and only an average passer. After suffering ACL tears in both knees, White had to depend solely on his arm. He put up monster passing numbers and won the Heisman. He hurt his arm prior to the Big 12 Championship and could hardly throw the ball in the game and in the NC game. The following season, they ran the table to the NC game. White came in 3rd for the Heisman as Adrian Peterson took a lot of his votes. Six straight turnovers and u$c hoisted the trophy in the NC game. Chuck was QB for lowa and the runner up to Bo Jackson for the Heisman in 1985.

New ‘25 Recruit Offers??

@Brandon Drumm @Parker Thune @Bryan Clinton @Jesse Crittenden
I am by no means an expert at recruiting. But it seems to me that we need to offer more defensive tackles, linebackers, offensive linemen, and a few tight ends in the 2025 recruiting class, even if they are developmental pieces.I know the Baylor kid is coming in this weekend as a linebacker and the Utah kid is coming in as an offensive lineman, but he has the two-year mission before he enrolls. I very well could’ve missed a post or article that you guys have done. Have there been any new offers or do you guys know of any new offers that will be going out soon?
