Yes they won yesterday vs lowly TCU. And yes they lost both games to OKIE ST. But a bright spot in yesterdays game was the youth that came in off the bench. I had not seen and did not know they had that athleticism in some players. Although, and you could tell they were very young, they looked like players that could play with anyone. So for all those who have jumped on the lack of effort by Sherri and her staff, and I'm one of those too, looks like the cupboard is full, especially with the two top ranked players coming in next year.
This year will be an average year where they will end up in the middle of the pack. Ortiz, Little, Wyatt, and Edwards will continue to give the ball away and then hustle to try and get it back. Carter and Manning will give them opportunities. Williams and Piere-Louis will continue to fight hard against bigger and better talent down low. And to the teams credit they will fight hard. But they will end up 4th, 5th, 6th in the Big 12, make the tournament and maybe get to the second round.
Here's hoping that the summer is utilized as a training opportunity to get prepared for next year when they will have the talent to do something.
It doesn't matter where they were rated when recruited, it matters what they do now.
