Still waiting on Josiah St. John to roll through here at practice. We have spoke with the likes of Curtis Bolton, Tay Evans, Ahmad Thomas & Hatari Byrd.

* thought Tay Evans looked really, really good physically. Told reporters he's up to 237. Tay playing over at the weak side 'backer spot with the abscence of Dom Alexander.

* Tay said all he's been thinking about is Saturdays spring game. Seemed generally excited for the opportunity to show out in front of the fans.

* Tay had a good story about meeting Joe Mixon in the hole. Evans smiled & said, "he's powerful. Real powerful." LOL.

* Curtis Bolton said he's up to 229, playing there at inside backer.

* while Dom is out with injury it does seem he & Jordan Evans have really become vocal leaders on the defensive side of the ball. Eric Striker likely the most vocal.

* seems the duo RS Frosh have really become close. Spend a lot of time together watching film and the like.

************************************************************************

* Just got home and will keep adding tidbits while working on video ... Don't think there's any doubt Josiah St. John has taken on the left tackle position head on. Talked about taking the next step as a player and what that means in stepping into a position that has a history of sending guys to the league.

* St. John had some really interesting thoughts on the 'pipeline' his term ... that is being created in getting guys from Canada. Had plenty of positive things to say when talking about Neville Gallimore.

* St. John talked about hosting Gallimore on his official visit and how well they hit it off

* St. John said he came in at 317 and couldn't have been more complimentary of how Schmitty and crew took the bad weight off of him and as the players like to say 'got me right'. St. John said he's currently around 308 and I thought he really looked good physically.

* Don't know if it has been mentioned here but St. John did offer this up ... said that Obo Okoronkwo hasn't been practicing but the OLB are doing really well. He even mentioned Devante Bond (seems to be a name that comes up every post practice session).

* St. John was asked if he's being treated differently by Bill Bedenbaugh being the starter at LT ... he said not really but could tell that his time is coming and BB is maybe a bit more demanding this spring.
