This is the "I'm sorry" thread

I'm puzzled why this thread is so bad IYO. But regardless I admire your profession. And envious. I wish I could play better. Enjoy your life. I've always enjoyed your input.

Pfft, give me a break...no surprise to any of you but...I've been in some BAD threads.
This isn't one.

At no time during this thread have I gone out on the west porch and scorched the meadow with a volley of 30 rounds of AR-15-5.56 ammo.
Every fifth one a tracer bullet!

That's a good thing!

Your 3 posts make it very clear you are not impacted or concerned with others, I am not worried about your feelings, I am capable of detecting how much time/breath I choose to use and congratulations on being a former moderator. Maybe you should have that put on the bag, "Former Moderator" with a cool emblem like a superhero maybe a hammer like the Texas Hammer.... Just try to make sure the emblem is a tool.

Lol, you are extremely clever! *i case you can't tell, sarcasm should be noted*

It is and was meant to be a pissing contest from the beginning. It's been that. So it reached its intended target. The people that want real conversation have not touched this thread. There have been nice glimpses like the Sanchez posts, but otherwise it's been pretty pedestrian troll.

i like the Sanchez conversation. Sorry, but he's got a lot to work on in my opinion! He's great when he's jumping routes but all k-state needed was a QB that could hit the broad side of a barn and he'd have given up 3 td's over 60 yards. He could have single handedly kept kstate in the game. Risk/reward... Sometimes. He's not a good tackler. He's got A LOT to work on.

Well, there are others that feel the same as you so you aren't alone. But there are others that think Zach is better. That's about the norm. Nothing to get upset about, right. You made your point, which you are entitled. No where but the USA. Just my opinion, but I think this thread has become better than intended.

I deal in fact and stat. I keep all games on tape and Zach is a good CB, but even in high school id be benched if I let that many people behind me. Once we reach a good QB, they'll expose him if this issues aren't addressed about him. However, Mike has always been risk reward, but we don't have a d-line that can rely on that as much in the past in his successful defenses. Sanchez is a very good college CB, he can read a QB's eyes great, but he's susceptible to a double move and any good coach/QB will exploit it.

I'd love to scorch the meadow with you fitty. I sold my mini 30 a few years ago when they were hot and I got 3x what I paid for it, but I've had my eye on a few AR's. Where do you get the tracers?

You know me, I like everything Zac brings to the party...but I can't wait until he graduates or moves on just so he doesn't dominate and cause so much dissension in the ranks here.

It's just too exhausting to expend this much damn energy on a freakin DB, even if he's a Heisman candidate.

Seriously?
Really?

We actually do this?

I happen to think you are right on this. My "Maverick" post earlier is pretty similar. He's high risk/high reward. I don't think he's any better or worse than any other "above average" CB we've had and he makes plays that change the game. One way or the other. I don't think I'd switch him for anyone else in the league at this point though. He is what he is and he brings what he brings. It's one of those feast or famine type situations.

Also, I'm not upset about anything other than the ignorant bait threads meant to do nothing more than fight. It's ridiculous on here. I love constructive talk and conversation and will gladly participate, but I can't stand this "wait til I see the guy I don't like" crap on here.

Maybe the funniest 5th post in the history of the board!

I know I suck...

On a bald toothless beaver until it turns into Buckingham Fountain...

You kids should grow up and get over the butthurt you're feeling. Quit acting like some other moron's opinion is a very dry splintered broomstick...

Oh, I'm out of them now, but I bought 20 of them from my gun guy in Coweta for a buck a piece.

Are they illegal?
I don't even know...don't care really.
They are cool to watch though...reminds me of the late sixties...

'Let me take you down, where you're going to...Strawberry Fields'...bla bla.

Is it not possible Sanchez was aware of KSU's QB deficiencies and was more opportunistic (risky) by design? You could also argue giving up 3 60 Yard plays is assuming too much in that Sanchez would have changed his approach after being beat one time. There are few College players which do not have work to do, I guess if that is the case with Sanchez he must have a high ceiling based on his current accomplishments.

Come on man...you sold a mini-30 on purpose?

Well, I've done the same thing before when I sold a first Gen Mini-14 for 550 bucks...with 2000 rounds of 223...and scope mounts thrown in for good measure.

(edit...it was stainless steel/wood, the bad boy model)

Boy, did I feel like the idiot!

Yeah, I really wish I wouldn't have sold it. I don't know what I was thinking. It was a kick ass weapon.

I feel it's worth mentioning that Sanchez lost his footing and tripped on that 1st quarter route where the K-State QB overshot the receiver.

We were fortunate, but these things happen.

You're welcome to join us K2C. I'll take you to a skin bin and you can party till your pacemaker shorts out.

We can spike Fitty's Coors Original with crushed up Viagra, buy him a 4 song lap dance and take bets on whether or not he cares the dancers are grinding on Mount Killamanjaro.

Hell, we'll bring Medic along in case one of you go into V fib.

I know its been discussed, and maybe even happened, but a real meet and greet would be awesome. I've only met jobea from this board back in 2008 ( we smashed the Corn Shuckerers and Tech put Texas in 3 way tie with us on this day) and he was quite the knowledgeable cat. And my memory tells me pay board regular Gernasky was there.

Regardless, I would genuinely be interested in setting one up. Even as possibly the youngest contributor, I think I could throw enough X in the coffee for us all to have a blast.

Sorry to have missed the invite; I dozed off after the baseball game ended.... Good stuff

Well, I see a lot of different posters here and no name calling as of yet in the SORRY thread. Now everyone needs to dump those on their ignore list and let's see if this can progress. If so, I can call this a success!

Just an FYI, I moderated this board back right after it was completely lawless for about 3 years, I guess that was 10 years ago now. Nothing you can or will say will hurt my feelings so you can save yourself the breath and time ;) just saying.

Speaking of lawless, you moderated punch drunk 80% the time until you were fired. But don't let a minor detail like that stop you from reminding everyone of your awesomeness.

This thread kind of epitomizes why I don't come on this board much and probably won't much going forward.

You posted ten times after writing this. I wish you would start going forward.

If you have a d-line compatible to that style of play or you're playing in the SEC then that works, otherwise, it's not going to be good. If you have a dline

Fired?! Yes, clearly you have your facts straight lol.

Yeah, Gern, HBK (used to post here some, Felo, OUFiredragon... that was a great time! I'm trying to remember who they honored that game, but I think it was game of the century teams in the one that OU lost and I think a big commemoration of Jack Mildren. Watching the end of the Tech game out at the Scoop tailgate was the capper when they won it last second to Crabtree.

How about John Grass or Justin Fuente or Gary Patterson or any number of others. No one will be a sure thing and there is no question about what Coach Stoops has done for the university as well as the manner in which he has done it. As I have stated before (I agree with oklabama) I do not think Coach Stoops will win another MNC and am willing to go through another hiring process understanding it could be John Blake or Bob Stoops. I did not play football past middle school, I did not attend/graduate OU and I have only been lucky enough to coach some of my kids teams (not football). So please disregard everything I am typing but also do not worry about the last 5 years of OU football. I look forward to being wrong after OU shows their one loss so far was strictly due to poor tackling and execution by the players and had nothing to do with the coaching staff. OU can do that by simply executing the coaching staffs gameplan against Baylor, TCU and OSU. It is obvious OU's coaching staff has identified the same level of talent as those schools, is consistently winning the games they are supposed to and producing high level stats on both sides of the ball. Somehow the bottom line (goal) keeps getting missed but with this coaching staff it should be easy to overcome the players' deficits; can easily coach them up. Oklabama great post and I really do not care if you played the game on the field or on a video game, you seem to base your opinions on the body of work set in front of you, who would've thought.

Standing and applauding...

Took the words right out of my mouth...I mean fingers. It IS possible he watched some film and got feedback from the coaches that the QB was a smaller version of Vince Young. ;)

I guess its possible, but this has been a pattern with Sanchez since he has been at OU. He falls for the double move on a regular basis because he wants to get a pick. Sometimes he guesses right but many times he doesn't.

Was Hillary in that class ? If there was anyone with a 'dark inner self', she fills the bill...

My personal favorites are the above ... some ultra conservative who, out of the clear blue, dumps an irrelevant political comment into the stew.

Maybe he just finished listening to Rush, and it sparked him a little.
