The KC Royals defeated the Toronto Blue Jays in the ALCS before winning the World Series.
The OU football team was led by a legendary coach who won National Championships early in his tenure, however some believed he might not ever be able to lead us to another one.
Via many circumstances, our team ended up being led by a dynamic QB who was in his first season of starting for us. The end result was a one-loss squad (early season defeat) that won the Big 12 and ended up as National Champs.
