Pretty meaningless I know. But sometimes you see a play that tells you something. Mark Andrews TD showed rare skills: a monster sized athlete in the open field displaying great moves and remarkable speed.
His lack of use is one of the biggest mysteries by an OU OC since I've been following Oklahoma football (over 40 years). With Keith Jackson you could understand it: OU ran the wishbone, didn't have a guy who could throw it and so it was just really tough for the OC to get him the ball. Now? You've got a very accurate QB in Baker Mayfield and the Sooners throw the ball 40 times a game. Why Mark Andrews gets one or two passes thrown his way a game? Wow.
While everyone raves about Lincoln Riley, how bright can he really be if he can't figure out this guy needs to get the ball more?
