The entire Thanksgiving meal is a schlep. My mom worked on it for weeks, and the set-up/clean-up is a pain in the ass. There had to be a dozen side dishes, all of which had to be stored and cleaned following the dinner. It might be worth it if turkey actually had any flavor, but it doesn't. Give me a steak, any kind of seafood or even fried chicken any day!
I hope I have my parents forever. But down the road, I'll be in a nice restaurant for Thanksgiving!
