Just out of curiosity, how many present or past college football coaches do we have on this board?
How about a more important question how many here who even played football and was ever on the field with the exception of mop up duty?

Mike the "owners" of this board allow rumors to go unchecked on the pay side with the exact same rules in place. You choose to enforce that rule for whatever reason.

The funny thing? The info the players dad gave me which I posted here, which turned out to be true < 7 days later? I passed it on with his permission and it was posted by a mod on another site.

So, I could site the mod on the other site and it would be allowed to be posted here.

Weird no?

Thats cool. I started QB and corner until I quit early in HS to concentrate on XC and track. We only lost 1 game during my 9th grade year but we sucked throughout HS. I couldn't see wasting my time playing on a team that could only win a few games. Now, I think most of us played football at the HS level and probably have similar knowledge of the game which is why I can't see anyone's opinions on here meaning than another. Unless there is a successful college coach on this board then I think we are all pretty equal and opinions should be treated as such. Would be interested in hearing from some other posters about their football background.

I do get what your saying, if you tell me something like that over coffee or lunch, I'm all ears. On a message board not so much. On the pay board there is a lot more allowed, reason, you're paying the site money. The free board is more controlled, and honestly it's lucky to even still be here to post on.

Well, I have coached plenty of teams on my Playstation... so there is that.

I played in more games as a junior and senior in high school than many play in 3 years, which means absolutely nothing. I played football, whoopee... Some get it, some don't.

Mike Leach never played a down in college, and I have no idea if he played in high school. He received a Juris Doctorate from BYU before going and getting a Master's in Sports Science in Sports Coaching in 1988 from that juggernaut United States Sports Academy.

Matt Millen might be considered an expert for a network, yet he failed as a CEO of the Detroit Lions, being in charge for the eight worst years in franchise history. Being able to play or knowing how to play doesn't mean one can teach that skill or ability to others, nor does it mean that one can operate an organization and evaluate talent.

John Blake could play and he can coach the DL...
