Pretty poor batting performance so far against Osorio who beat Parker two out of three in the Super Regional last year in Tuscaloosa.

No hits so far for OU. Osorio has walked two and struck out ten consecutive batters. OU has put one ball in play. One of the outs came on a stolen base attempt, which may have been a missed hit and run. Erin Miller ain't the swuftest of their players.

Headed to T5. Parker has been okay, but got bailed out of two on no out situation caused by her throwing error in T4. But a shot to Romero was turned into a third force for Romero for one out and then the runner at second for a double play. A liner to short ended the inning.

My guess is that there's a pretty big strike zone.

Error in the earlier report. But the Sooners went in order, all by strike outs. After five no score. 11 consecutive have fanned. There were 13 consecutive outs on strikeouts.

after edit.

But they put three balls in play in the sixth, while Parker got Bama in order in the fifth, sixth and seventh.

Shay Knighten hit a walk off two run home run in the bottom of the seventh, 2-0 OU.

Sooners in it in the bottom of the seventh with two hits by two California rookies.

Sidney Romero led off B7 with a solid single to center. Then after a pop out, Shay Knighten hit it out to left center off Osorio and OU beats Bama 2-0. So OU is 3-1 in the tournament and plays Nebraska, ranked 24 tomorrow.

Big, huge win.

OU beat Nebraska 4-2, taking the lead in the bottom of the sixth on a double by a freshman (Clifton), a single by a freshman (Aviu), a sac fly by Pendley, a soph,, and a single by Miller, a senior.

Another one of those curious starts by Stevens. Started. Pitched to two batters. Walked one, hit the other. And then Parker came in and both those runners scored without benefit of a hit. But she pitched seven full and got the win striking out the last two when her adrenaline got going in T7.

The Sooners scored two in B2 on a two run single by Pendley to tie it at 2-2. They loaded the bases with two out in the third, but Clifton lined out to center to end it..

I believe they have firmed up their best defensive alignment this weekend. They need Clifton at second defensively. We just aren't as dominant in the circle this season to be giving up extra outs.

And Patty isn't giving Kelsey any slack in the wildness issue. If she looks to have no control at the start, she gets two batters and then she's out. Maybe a third. She just hasn't shown the ability to "find it" if she doesn't have a good release point, especially when her arm is a little tired. She got to pitch to two batters against Nebraska and then Parker entered, having thrown a lot of pitches this weekend. But the last two days, seven innings in back to back games and no runs allowed, earned or unearned. The two inherited runners did score.

But the last two days, she was awesome, and Sunday, she was stellar. Against the Huskers/ And she managed her pitch count by pitching to contact. Threw only 87 pitches to get 21 outs.
