I am looking to do some deep dive analysis into college football data, especially the Sooners. Does anyone have an good recommendations on proper data sources?
I was thinking about going through game film and going play by play with ESPN stats. I really want to get deep into formations, defensive counters, and play success rate vs. execution dependent upon situations.I just know that will be time-consuming.
I found a source on reddit with a zip file that goes til '16, but not sure how in depth the data. Yet nothing with formations/motion movement etc. I may look into FootballOutsiders, does anyone have any experience with this data or any familiar platforms at all?
There used to be a poster on here who had play-by-play spreadsheets. (hit me up if you are still around)
This is something I am hoping to build to help out and provide some good stuff for you all as well.
