Question

Let's not underestimate the impact of OU's relative depth in the D-line vs. UT's ghost town and the legit idea of instant playing time being a factor.

I don't blame the kid or even think less of him for trying to make the best choice for himself. Too bad he chose the Longhorns. If the 'race card' was indeed an issue, OU is better without that being a distraction in the locker room anyway.

I think this a good class. Our quality is up there like k2c posted. Check the numbers of recruits OU could sign compared to others. Less players signed is a big difference in rankings.
As far as what Charlie told recruits that is double standards. Texas was so proud of having all white teams under Royal. My how times have changed. Imagine a white Notre Dame coach telling a white player come join all the white coaches and players. The white coach would be crucified publicly on ever news outlet. The school would be forced to take action with the incident.
I'm just looking forward to next season. Kelly was the cherry on top so I'm happy.

Just to play devil's advocate..... I'm sure, and he even admits it, Barry Switzer played the race card as well. You don't have to be the same color to play the race card. He was Oklahoma's first "black" coach in much the same way Bill Clinton was the first "black" President.

So basically, white men from Arkansas are considered as "black?"
