The first tape: We are the team that can compete with anyone in the nation (sans UK). We don't always finish the game in a manner of which we like, but we generally compete. Lets look at our road games against the two best teams in our conference. We led KU at the Phog late in the game. In Ames we fell victim to a ridiculous 2nd half run. Against #1 seed Wisconsin we were competitive until about midway in the 2nd half and that was before Thomas was comfortable in our system. We have also shown at times that we can close out big games....KU, Iowa St, and Ok State for example.
The second tape: Morgantown, Creighton, Washington.
If tape 1 shows up in the tourney, we can go a long way. This will require Buddy to play like the Big 12 POY, Thomas to play like he did in 2nd half against Iowa St last week, a total team Defensive effort, and some points off the bench. Several ESPN analysts are taking us to the Elite 8 and Final 4 because they know how much talent and potential we have on our team.
