Trevor Tate Memorial Golf Tournament
First of all, thanks to @Josh_M for giving me the thumbs up on posting about this, appreciate it a lot…
Secondly, I’ve seen a few people asking @Eddie_Rado & @Grimlock72 about possibly putting together a board golf tournament - we’d love for any of y’all to come play w/ us and have a chance to meet you in person and maybe tell a story or two about our buddy…
So, back in November my best friend unexpectedly passed away one week before his 36th birthday. He was literally the type of guy who’d give you the shirt off his back, you being able to fit into a Smedium is a whole ‘nother story. Trevor left behind a wife and 6 year old little girl. His passing really messed w/ my head as my kids loved “Uncle Trevor or Tater Tot”
as they called him to give him a hard time and going out to Union City to their “farm” to play w/ Austyn, their bulldog Marla Pooch and cookout was one of their absolute favorite things…
Anyway, I grew up playing ball w/ his older brother Tanner who was a year behind me in school and Trevor went from that kid that always tagged along to a good man, great friend and better father. Tanner, our friend Josh Richardson and I are putting on a golf tournament @ Surrey Hills w/ the purpose of getting folks together to tell stories, drink a beverage or three and whack some balls around the course. The proceeds will go towards purchasing Trevor’s headstone and then to his wife Holly and Austyn.
