230 some years ago a man leaving public life for good gave the
following speech, "Political parties are the seeds of division" The
man, George Washington. He saw the feud going on between the
Federalist and Antifederalist and he knew what it would lead to.
Changing the names to Liberal and Conservative hasn't changed
a thing. It still 2 sides bitching and flushing money down the toilet.
And both are guilty, of the toilet flushing.

This is a main facet of the timely book I am in the midst of reading (Washington's Farewell). It's ironic that the "factions" started by some of those of that era were called the democratic-republicans (anti-federalists) versus the federalists. Think Jefferson versus Hamilton

In addition: At 6088 words that were memorized, recited as government 'scripture' on holidays before Abe's 275 word Gettysburg Address usurped it; it was thought of as the Old Testament compared to the New in our National founders lexicon
