OT: Ralph Northam thoughts

I honestly want Trump to win reelection if for nothing more than to see the democrats reaction. It provided some great entertainment during the last election. They are such whiners its pathetic.

It wasn't just the democrats who melted down. Plenty of RINOs and Never-Trump globalists did too.

I never voted for a democrat yet I didn’t always agree with the Republican Party. Some of my right wing friends use to refer to me as a RINO in good fun and I didn’t find it offensive. That was during 43’s term. Soon afterwards the party really began to change and the RINO reference started to get a little old to the point I registered as an Independent at age 70. Imagine that. It’s not Trump that prompted my decision. It was the fact that the Republican Party had actually become a swamp. I give Trump for bringing that to the forefront. When my liberal friends found out and congratulated me on my decision, I asked them how in the hell could they justify remaining a member of the Democratic Party because it’s a swamp just as much as the GOP. I worry that I will live to ever see another POTUS worthy of the office. What is offered up today is pretty pathetic for my taste. Sorry about this political rant. I know it’s not cool.

Agree with you, Bama.
Neither party has been free of scandals, hypocrisy, racism and the inability and/or refusal for the two parties to resolve issues has pretty much died out. Nothing is left but the demonizing and the "blame game" of the opposing sides.
I doubt seriously if you and I will see another person truly worthy of being president. I cannot think of one person who would ever gain my support.
And if Trump wins re-election, the domestic turmoil will be massive....much more than it ever has been.

A very good friend of mine and I were discussing the political climate recently and during the conservative he asked me why I thought as I did. I said because “I’m an American and this (the subject) is un-American”. So I asked him why he felt as he did and his reply was “because I’m a Democrat”. He never rebuffed my un-American comment because he couldn’t and he knew it. Really!! What’s happening when political ideology becomes more important than what is right/best for America?

Some 230 years ago a man leaving public office spoke in his farewell address the
following " political parties are the seeds of division". The man was dead on. Both republican and democratic parties are coconspirators to this modern day division
that is the worst in this countries history. Fact is, they're all racists, who pick their
choices to who they will demonize. Do you really think trump gives a damn about
those Afgan women that the taliban treat like a dog. Yet he'll sign a treaty with
those mogels who'll take ownship of a 1/2 dozen strickly for their sexual pleasure.
The American politician ain't no different than the polticians that run Russia, China,
India, Syria, most all European countries, most all middle eastern countries. Jeez
man the world is in a mess and it's the so-called leadership that's to blame.

I do too, but my concern is, if Trump wins in 2020, there will be an uproar from the Left that will make the backlash we've seen since Trump took office look pale in comparison.
I can see the nation becoming even more divided and people getting hurt or killed.....and more pimping bad politicians and/ demonizing opposing parties by the media, Hollywood and the politicians themselves.
The "swamp" gets more contaminated with each election.

Probably so, but I'm not one to give in just because the other side is completely out of control. Can you imagine a US under someone like Kamala Harris? Now thats scary

The blob M Moore is quoted today as saying AOC is the new leader of the Dem party and there will be a fight to change the Constitution soon re: eligibility age for POTUS. Let them fight about Ralph all year dividing themselves even further into irrelevancy

Holy shit!

Very true.
While I have some issues with Trump, the Democrats and their followers scare the hell out of me.

Thats about as logical as saying the Neo Nazi racist Steve King is the "new leader of the Republican party" as named by Rush Limbaugh & Ann Coulter.

Both parties have their extremes.

The word "Nazi" is thrown around a lot these days to label someone in politics that people don't like.
Nazis in Germany in the last century were a truly evil entity, one that wrought mass murder, mass destruction, genocide and war.
The term, in my opinion, is out of place in our culture today. It's true meaning, as it pertains to history, overshadows any other negative label that is used today.

I read & reported this story by Moore today from the MSN web page; there is no equivalence or daily drum beat about King going on like there is about Northam, on that page at least.

Neo Nazi... right. Steve King is a good man who has the balls to say what he believes in. Not some wimp who is deathly afraid of the left.

You need to find another news source other than CNN.

Yea. Thats why the majority of Republicans censored King led by Kevin McCarthy
the GOP Minority leader of the US House who was just voted to succeed Paul Ryan.
Kevin McCarthy said the GOP will finds GOP candidates to run against Steve King in 2020 to get him kicked out of office..

Decent People do not support Racism, White Supremacy and Neo Nazis.

There is "NOTHING GOOD" about the racist Steve King and its great to see the GOP
say he needs to be gone.
Hey Steve King even voted yes for himself to be censored making it an 100% GOP yes vote..

Fake news. The vote was to formally reject White nationalism and White supremacy in which he agrees and voted for the measure. It wasn't a "censor" vote. You really need to stop watching CNN. Steve King is a good man.

Where is the outrage for Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar's racist and anti-Semitic remarks? Where is the vote to "censor" them? There isn't because Republicans aren't fighters and they submit to Democrats.

Cortez is the Dem's Sarah Palin.

Sarah Palin's academic achievement scores at the University of Idaho were higher than that of Al Gore and George W. Bush. My Make A Wish Foundation wish is in a class room setting, administer IQ tests to Hillary, Cortez, Sarah, Cher, Condaleezza and the bimbo from Hunger Games. I would give huge odds to the outcome. Huge!!!

ABC News. ha ha ha. Try again.

I added this comment. Re-posting it here because you'll miss it.

By the way, you said it was a "censor" (censure) vote. QUOTE: "Hey Steve King even voted yes for himself to be censored". It wasn't a censure vote. CNN fake news.

Nobody with Steve King's racism and White Supremacy should be allowed to remain in Congress. His outspoken hatred is anti American.

"Kevin McCarthy GOP House Leader says Steve's language is reckless, wrong, and has no place in our society. The Declaration of Independence says all men are created equal."

THIS IS ABOUT MANY REPUBLICANS CRITICISING REPUBLICAN STEVE KING's RACISM & WHITE SUPREMACY & WHITE NATIONALISM

Funny Demorods what criminal justice reform to give people a second chance but call for a guy who was in a very bad picture to be removed I guess they really don’t believe no one has changed

I have no doubt that the Virginia Governor is a lowlife racist scumbag and its GREAT to see the dems wanting him removed. I have not heard of any democrat who now does not want him fired.

The same way its GREAT to see the GOP wanting Iowa US House Republican Steve King gone who is also lowlife racist scum. He also does not have now any GOP support.

How do you know home slice?? Other than the photo no one has said he is a racist. Answer my question homie!!!!!!!!!!

GROWING NUMBER OF REPUBLICANS REBUKE IOWA REP STEVE KING OVER WHITE SUPREMACY COMMENTS...

No need to re-post this over and over. You stated your opinion. I stated mine. You never answered my Rashida Tlaib / Ilhan Omar question which tells me you are probably suffering from white guilt caused by too much Brian Stelter and Don Lemon telling you what to think.

None of the hearty frozen folks here in iowa (who aren't stupid by the way) are wasting time with King; we'll take care of him one way or another next election. We tolerate lots of different races but don't take too kindly to infanticide or big city maroons trying to tell us to shut up about it

Gore and Bush 43 are hardly intellectual giants.
Palin had no business on a presidential ticket. McCann must have thought he would put a woman....a pretty one....on the ticket to compete with a black opponent. Big mistake.

By no means am I defending Northam, but isn't it sad that indiscretions made early in life can bring a person down many years later ?
Consideration is no longer given to how a person who made a mistake in youth could learn from mistakes and become a better person. Isn't that a part on most persons' lives ?
Above and beyond maturing from our early years, aren't we better people NOW having learned some lessons the hard way during our youth ?
I'm only referring to some examples...I know that many people remain dirt bags from day one...most of these kind can be found in the Nation's Capital.
^This!!

It's absurd that people nowadays have to answer for dumb crap they did 30 or 40 years ago. But sadly that's what politics has devolved into. And I'm not even a Democrat, but I don't think this guy should have to resign or be punished in the social arena for something that happened that many years ago. It's utterly stupid.

At the time, Palin had an unheard of 80 percent approval rate as governor of Alaska. She quickly became the most attacked Republican ever by a press favoring Democrats. She became a permanent fixture on Saturday Night Live.

No matter who McCain picked, he was doomed. In part, white guilt destined us to eight years of economic stagnation. No one here is more disappointed in the unmitigated failures of John Blake and Barack Obama. I have skin in the game.
