OT: It appears the Patriot's Deflategate has nothing on the StL Cardinals

This is pretty serious stuff. Corporate espionage. Jail time for Correa, loss of their 2016 draft picks, not allowed to appear in the post season (regardless of their record), and at least a 7-figure fine for the Cardinals might get their attention.

Schoonerman,
Will you please send me an email?

I love my Cards..lifelong fan. But this just isnt right. Big fine, some jail time for Correa and maybe more that were involved, post season ban, draft pick losses, suspensions. They need to be kicked in the nuts hard for this. Hate it happening to my team but they deserve every bit of it.

I just wonder how much spying and computer hacking the Cardinals were doing on teams they played in the post season.
It's a fair question. They may have. The Houston connection was former scouting/personnel employees of the Cardinals that went to the Astros. From reading between the lines, there was/is bad blood between the two organizations because of this.

I'm a lifelong Cardinal fan too. This is so disappointing. But I can't imagine eliminating the Cardinals from postseason. The punishment would just be too harsh. They draw 2 - 3 million at home and they're also a huge draw on the road. A lot of those fans would not have an interest in paying to see a team that can't possibly make the playoffs regardless of record. Therefore other teams would suffer.

The Cardinals have operated in a squeaky clean manner historically.

They should be banned IMO multi years. This is about as severe as any crime we've ever witnessed in pro sports. Other teams would not suffer as MLB would have two teams playing anyway. The fans of STL would suffer which I'd hate to see but the Carsinals need to pay a heavy penalty to prevent other teams from doing the same. I say it needs to be enough penalty to hamper their program 5 years. Cash, draft choices, and post play.
