If you were a GM for a team what would you do in the following
For a better understanding the salary cap is $143,280,000 for 2015. Let's call it 143.
It's closer to 20 but let's say minus 15 million for the QB so we're at 128. Exclude special teams for simplicity and divide that by 2 for Offense and Defense and you'd have 64 million for each side of the ball.
As great as Suh is, would you pay him 14 million a year? Over 20% of your funds for the D. I wouldn't. On a guy like JJ Watt that can dominate at DE or DT I would pay that. A true shut down CB of which there are only 2 I would pay over 10, but not severely overpay as the Jets did, and come to think of seemingly always do.
How much would you give for Murray? AD?
Answering the AD question is difficult for me due to age, tread, but also knowing he's the rarest freaks of nature I've even seen. On Murray, any # above 7-8 and I'd wish him the best.
QB, WR, LT, CB, and JJ Watt are the only positions I would pay more than 10 million in salary annually. What about you guys?
