OT: CNN Fires Kathy Griffin

A death threat is a death threat and Nugent has a history of advocating death upon political rivals, on many occasions.
I have no issues with protesting a political figure, but I do have issues with the WAY too many protests are made both from the Right and the Left.
Nugent made no death threat. He was likely using a bawdy metaphor as an invitation for the former president to provide him a bj, when he said he should, "eat my machine gun." That might be a paraphrase.

If I were Trump, I would not respond to Griffin or her situation.....but my bet is he will shoot his mouth off about her when there is not any reason to.
If I were Trump, I would quietly let her drown in her own bile. He has more important things to do.

I hope he doesn't respond directly... but indirectly all the time.

Nugent crossed the line whether it's a death "metaphor" or a "bawdy" request for a BJ.
When childish and/or mean spirited exchanges like this occur, there are no winners....only losers....and the American people are the biggest losers.
Face it, the bar has forever been lowered when Hillary and Trump are the only two candidates to choose from.

And more to lose in legal expenses because she is going to play the bully card. The less Trump says the better.

Whatever, it is a blip compared to what has been coming from the other side for4 months.

And it's one of the reasons he was elected.

Actually I think he would have won by a bigger margin had he been less of a jerk. Hillary was the absolute best Democratic candidate for the Republican Party. I love seeing her out front now with her pathetic, whinny excuses for losing the election. But Kathy Griffin was even more pathetic today. LMAO.

We need more folks like Will Rogers to serve; will never to happen again, sadly.

IF we win a Natty in Women's Softball or this year in football, I'll never post another political word on this forum.

Tell me more about brisket and medic's meatfest, please !
iasooner1, Will Rogers did not serve. He was ask to run for president, but he said "no, if I was president congress would turn my jokes into laws."

I agree once he got past the 17 other Republicans. But getting past them was the key and he did so by mouthing off and telling it like it was/is without a care in the world. He waltz through professional politicians like a knife through butter. I wasn't a Trump supporter until he did the water bottle thing on Rubio. To me, that was friggin' hilarious and something we've never witnessed from a Presidential candidate. It got my attention. I still don't give two hoots about him. I just hope he has the chance to place another conservative on the Supreme Court before he leaves office.

Thanks thom: I would have sworn Will Rogers was a Congressman. He was a Nationally revered humorist and "served" in a positive way during rough days and died too soon...
One of Oklahoma's favorite sons (besides me of course)

I saw the Kathy Griffin meltdown today. It was one of the most pathetic public displays I have ever seen. Pathetic. Pathetic. Pathetic. She did what she did to get attention and stir things up. Now she is dealing with backlash over her stupid idea. CNN fired her. Many shows are cancelling her. So she decides to cry and act like a victim and blame Donald Trump. She is beyond stupid.

iasooner1, yes she is a entertainer that can put on a very convincing performance. She did that today. But any person with some sense can see right through it. And smell through it too. It was pathetic BS.

She gave it her all to break down and may have managed a lone tear and broke straight into the "blame the bully" game. No doubt she's angling for a shot at SNL the next time it's 'live' to be unfunny again.

"So I'm happy to deliver beat down to Donald Trump---and also to Barron. You know a lot of comics are going to go hard for him, my edge is that I'll go DIRECT FOR BARRON. I'm going to get ahead of the game."

I think this woman will have a real problem in court when Trump's lawyers presents this. All that I've read from Donald and wife's statements (tweets) about this deal has been how it has affected Barron. Well, that appears to be what her intent was.

So she goes after an 11 year old kid, but she thinks Trump is being the bully?? What a complete waste of friggen oxygen every time she breathes.

I'm really glad my time-out is over in time to comment on this thread. She actually said "Trump picked the wrong redhead to mess with". Is she even serious?? It was her idiotic ass that started this whole thing with her ignorant attempt at getting attention with her genius idea of holding a blood head. God almighty the level of stupidity that is on display here is just nothing short of amazing.

She knows the Unhinged Left will embrace and accept her self-serving "victimization" at the hands of the conservatives. She's above accountability and responsibility as long as she finds another to throw under the bus. After all, that's what they continuously preach. It's the Progressive/Socialist/Communism way.

"Rules for Radicals": required reading now
Rule #1: It's my way or the highway.
Rule #2: The ends justify the means.
Rule #3; You're never wrong. You're just a victim when you don't get your way.
Rule #4: Those in dissent are racist.
Rule #5 Christians are the bad guys and their faith must be used against them.
Rule #6: The Constitution is dead and One World Government is it's just replacement.

That's all the time I had to read. Anyone have others?

You'd think so, wouldn't you?
Trump won the election.
You'd think he'd take the high road and gloat over that.
But, I believe like you do.
He will say something about it when nothing needs to be said.
I wish that was just cynicism.
Unfortunately, it's probably reality

I'm not sure why some continue to believe, think, wish, (call it what you want) that Trump handle himself like past Presidents. He's not like any President and/or any politician any of us have witnessed in our lifetimes. He won't be acting like any politician going forward.

Yep and this is exactly why he got elected. He isn't a politician. So many voted for him because they wanted REAL CHANGE in the White House. He was elected on the premise he was NOT going to be like past presidents who were nothing but political talking heads.

And yes...I voted for Trump. And I will NEVER EVER regret voting for him over Hillary. I don't care how bad his presidency may end up being.

I wasn't raised this way, so I struggle to understand.

It is the convenience store owners crazy "having money in his cash register" that made me a thief.
If he hadn't had anything to steal, I would not have been a thief.

We actually had a "victim's" mother on the news recently with a very similar argument against the person who shot her criminal son.

I can't comprehend.
