NORMAN, Okla. – The Oklahoma Sooners baseball team continued their scorching start to the 2025 season with a decisive 15-4 victory over Texas Southern on Tuesday, February 25, at L. Dale Mitchell Park. The seven-inning run-rule win improved the Sooners’ record to an impressive 7-0, marking their best opening stretch in over a decade.
From the outset, Oklahoma’s offense wasted no time asserting control. Sophomore Kyle Branch ignited the rally with a leadoff single in the second inning, followed by a walk to Dayton Tockey, setting the stage for a scoring outburst. The Sooners piled on 14 runs by the fourth inning, with freshman Dawson Willis contributing a key RBI single to cap a relentless attack.
