I realize that I was incredibly passionate a couple weeks ago when this story first broke. This story hits very close to home for me for a variety of reasons (multiple female family members who suffered through very real abuse)... so for whatever it's worth...
After watching Meyer's 'apology' and reading through a vast majority of the report released by tOSU... I am disgusted. He showed no empathy for the victim, and there is a LOOOOONG history of letting Zach Smith skate by on some pretty shitty behavior. Nepotism at its worst (looking at you too Bob/Mike).
People in positions of great power must be held to a higher standard. Urban simply did the bare minimum to abide by his contract. Ethically and morally... this guy is as reprehensible as they come. Sure, from a contractual perspective, it appears that even though he fell short there in his reporting duties (re: not reporting the 2009 incident or the 2014 strip club incident), that may not be outright cause to fire him... but again... ethically and morally... the guy is a sCUMbag.
Read the report before you form your opinion. I've formed mine. I'm just damned glad I'm not a Buckeye fan... because I would be embarrassed if this guy were my school's head coach.
