Didn’t watch the whole thing, but the players came off pretty classy in defeat…thru first couple questions at least
The players also echoed that the fans made it harder to play. Just a weak ass mentality that program has. Their quality is top 4 in the country but their mindset is just terrible. As an athlete you should embrace the hate, your goal should be to quiet the crowd. You hear professional athletes talk about it all the time.
Let us know when NC CFB games and the CFP are ever played in Oklahoma like they are in Texas (at neutral sites of course).
The funniest part about this is in my opinion, the idea of OU being extra and animated about everything from a walk, pop fly catch, etc... I really think thats one of our secret weapons. When you bring energy and celebrate every win, big or small you maintain a higher average level of energy and body language. And i think that's one of the reasons we respond to adversity so well, we don't get down on ourselves often or lose poise. If you look at Texas's players body language during this series you can clearly see that they did not have a high level of energy for the majority of the game and I think that hurts them when they get punched. Us bringing that level of energy everywhere is why OU is so tough to beat no matter the venue.
Any coach making the choice to talk about our advantage at Devon Park in the middle of the season, and then again before the WCWS begins, is not ready to win a trophy.

I think his whole purpose in that interview was to accentuate that OU loses 10 seniors and he has a lot returning next year. The players he had up there are underclassmen (2 juniors to be and 1 sophomore to be). Next year will be rebuilding year for OU and in his mind, he has the upper hand next year. I trust Patty though!
Patty Gasso does not rebuild, she absolutely reloads. Losing this senior class will be big, but there is complete trust in her to get what she needs and continue the dominance. Will it be a down year? Probably so, but so was this one. Every year everyone looks and says, “look at what they’re losing!” They win one, it’s they’ll rebuild they won’t go back to back. They don’t have what it takes to 3-peat. No chance at a 4-peat. Dare I say, there’s no way in hell, 0% chance they 5-peat. Do I think they will? No, but I wouldn’t bet $5 against Patty Gasso
when he said that OU had 12000 fans and ut only had 1000 i couldn't believe that the #1 seed coudn't get more fans to attend their games. he should be more upset with his fans for not buying tickets. I didn’t realize crowd noise disrupted concentration like in golf or crowd noise stopped the defense from getting their signals in from the sidelines…… crowd noise is such a lame argument in softball or baseball or even basketball for that matter.
