I stopped reading his post and totally missed the melodramatics until I read your post. Wow.

He participated in the debate, threw haymakers, then complained that he was being picked on. It was a debate for crying out loud. Must have been the proof that his heroes are phony and don't really practice their ideology... wolves in sheep's clothing.

Nothing wrong with leaving. Just do it quietly. Nobody is so important here that they have go through such theatrics. That's adolescent.

(Hi Bullmarket. You'll be back.)
Agreed. Politics is inescapable today. You can not go anywhere or do anything without someone interjecting politics and race into the situation. It reminds me of watching kids play with matches. Sooner or later a fire is going to get started that people might not be able to get under control.

Pretty much sums it up for me really the past few years. You cannot say anything about a Democrat without being called one if not all of these.
Hell I was even called Hitler by a poster here because I wanted Mike Stoops fired last season. Oh the Humanity!

This one of the best ever threads on this board. Many years I argued against allowing politics/religion on any sports board on the grounds that it would destroy it. Once the politics got a strong hold I joined in and have posted my share of politics. I'm on the side of the 90% here.

I have never had any love for Bull. I remember so many of his posts that were just absolutely incorrect and he could never admit he was wrong. I got a great laugh in the 2008 year when Bull suggested that he DR said Gresham would be back before the season started. I challenged him on it, copied his original post. When confronted with it he denied he ever said it. That is what you get from Bull.

Personally, I don't like the way Trump goes about his business. I do like the way he has tackled some extremely tough issue that few past Presidents have had the guts to tackle.

North Korea is one of the toughest issues ever. I believe he will eventually get the job done given the time. He is tough on immigration and he is exactly correct in what he is doing. His work with the economy has been spot on. His taking on China's trade issues is spot on. That is another issue no past President has had the guts to tackle.

I am into the results of his work. He is tough as nails and fearless. He is an open book. He is trying to create good jobs. He may be a bastard and a son of a bitch, but he is my bastard and son of a bitch. He is a patriot as am I.

One of my favs, is years ago there was a lot of buzz about Alex Ross going into the season. But Bull decided he wanted to try and compare him to Marcus Dupree. It didn't go over well, and ended with Bull as usual abandoning the thread and stopped replying.

Trump is trying to run the country like a business, which I like. His dealing with North Korea concerns me to some degree....there's good intent by Trump and the U.S., but Kim Jong-un is nothing more than a cruel and evil homicidal maniac. I feel like Trump, in dealing with Kim Jong-un, is our answer to Neville Chamberlain, the British statesman who appeased Hitler in 1938 and then declared he had accomplished "peace in our time".....on the eve of a global war that took 80 million lives.

I will be VERY disappointed if Trump caves in the N Korea talks and signs a garbage agreement just to get something signed. I think he made a good move in Vietnam to not take an agreement that N Korea offered and walked. Let's hope he doesn't decide to eventually give in.

It’s worth noting that North Korea will never honor any agreement. But Trump is aware he’s dealing with a strong hand and should not give Fat Bastard anything short of unconditional disarmament by NK.

Well it's not like N Korea has much faith in the US honoring an agreement either. The 1994 agreement that fell through was more about the US not following through with promises than it was N Korea not following through.

I think Trump is an egotistical, arrogant, highly productive individual that rarely seeks the counsel of others because he has proven to himself that he can go it alone. He is a boardroom bully that has had his ass kissed all his life. No one dared tell him "no". He lacks communication skills because he has never had to appease anyone with conversation. He is extremely intuitive, very perceptive and lives to win. His ego demands winning. The fact that he has never drank alcohol in his life is a very telling trait. His bragging of his successes is as easy as discussing the weather. I have worked for/with guys like DJT. DJT can't help but looking at things in pluses or minuses. Profit is hard wired in his brain. Lee Kuan Yew of Singapore ran his country like a business and I can assure you Singapore is a model of success on that level. Trump has no other method than his method for running the USA. Our president, with one stroke of his pen, rolled back Obama restrictions that took 690,000 workers off the union benches in the refining industry gulf states. He stood against NAFTA after a meeting with lobbyist from our agriculture, farming, dairy and beef industry. The USA is the largest oil producer in the world in 2018. Obama wanted to half our current production. Obama fast-tracked the USA to Trump. Obama, the biggest fraud ever perpetrated on a nation in the history of the world.

I can present no plausible argument to Scottsdale. Singapore is tied with Hong Kong with the highest average IQs in the world at 107. Although AOClueless and Bernie preach medicine and food shortages, they have followers. At last world testing, the U. S. scored a paltry 98.

I would argue Robert Mugabe outdid Obama after he took over Southern Rhodesia from the French in the early eighties. Our version of Mugabe didn't have the time the original Mugabe did.

Singapore and Hong Kong has never participated in Daylight Saving Time. And yes, it's Daylight Saving.

Bull is just Bull. Some people are incapable of admitting they are wrong. If he has only been a Sooner fan since 98 then he is a pup to many of us when it comes to OU. His political views are full of hate though for Trump.

Well the multi faced jackazz lied again. In his campaign speeches he promised
never to cut Social Security, Medicare or Medicaid and monday in his budget
propersal he cut all 3. So much for this guy being anything but a despicable
worthless liar.

I'd say about 25 years too late - the duration of my working age. That's 10% of my pay that I know I'll never see. I can't stomach to roll up what 10% of my lifetime earnings is.

Trump isn’t wanting to cut retirement benefits. It’s cutting things like Social Sec. Admin’s top-heavy staff and operating costs, and support programs that belong at the state level. “Cut” means lots of things, like rolling back Obama’s expansions and handouts such as the retroactive pay period for disabilty benefits. Cuts here and there, but not to retirement benefits the way JXYZ wants you to believe.

I'm glad he comes back to read. It's probably the only source of truth in his daily media diet.

We have BIG news stories, like this:

With the confirmation of a nominee to the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, President Trump has for the first time in his presidency flipped an appeals court to have a majority of Republican-appointed judges.

What a great president.

Now you can add a 4th thing. Your news media heroes are somehow linking Trump to the New Zealand attack on the Muslim worshipers. Totally disgusting. It is this sort of thing that perpetuates the hatred and gets innocent people hurt.
And it is this sort of thing that will escalate in the future until innocent people get killed.
The division in this country is becoming so prevalent I'm starting to think it is by someone's grand scheme.....that it has been carefully planned with the intention of a "divide-and-conquer" scenario.

"Satan", or whatever name one applies to the forces of evil, only has power to the extent you give to him/it.
I'm not sure I would apply "evil" to any politician in this country....mean spirited, narcissistic, psychopathic, greedy, conceited and bat shit crazy....but not evil.

Good descriptors for them, but I am quite sure a few are pure evil.

I'm pro-life, but it is hard for me to believe that a woman who decides to abort a fetus is "evil" or immoral....however, I still believe it to be wrong for denying a person's right to live. More of a libertarian view by me.
"Infanticide" defined is the killing of infants. That still does not mean it can't apply to the unborn. Isn't a fetus an infant in beginning stages ?
My take on the abortion debate is that it is not a male vs female debate because it takes two sexes to procreate a person. Feminists keep regurgitating the same BS about "having control of our own bodies" and "if a man could get pregnant, abortion would have been legal much earlier".
That a fetus carries its own DNA tells me that it is not part of a woman's body, even though it's living inside a womb.

"Policemen acting stupidly." Premature declaration with very little knowledge of the incident.
"Let's not rush to judgement." after the terrorist shooting at Fort Hood with the world knowing. Work place incident?

discussions.

I have been here as a Sooner fan since 1998. I have seen other long time Sooners like Schoonerman and Owen Field Dreams (two Democrats who were attacked because of their political thoughts by other Sooners)

I have also been attacked and I am a lifetime moderate Republican who happens not to like many things our President says and does. For myself, I would never support a socialist as I am middle of the road and yes Medic I despise racism whether it be a Dem or a Republican. I also despise a political liar and Trump is unlike any GOP president ever.

Three things Trump did made me a Never Trumper. Millions of other Republicans like myself are the same way.

Trump was deferred five times from serving in the armed services and yet when he was running for President he attacked a wounded Prisoner of War, John McCain for the reason according to Trump "he does not like POWs who got captured." Trump said.

The second thing that made me a never Trumper was when a White Supremicist at a Charlottville White Supremicist rally killed a lady protester with his car driving into a crowd and Trump says that some racist White Supremicists who marched in Charlottsville are "good people".

The third thing I did not like what Trump did was to have immigrant children separated from their parents. Ronald Reagan who I supported strongly had said most of us in America were immigrants from somewhere and Reagan said the engraving on our Statue of Liberty tells all of us how immigrants should be treated. Here are the words on the Statue of Liberty that Ronald Reagan lived by....
"Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free." The Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation, Inc.
Tonight is my last night ever on this board as I came here 21 years ago to talk sports and not politics.

Politics divides us especially when it becomes Sooner attacking other Sooners over politics and that is what this board has become. .

Boomer Sooner and happiness and good health to all of you and your families.
Come on Bull! You can’t reall be that stupid. That message on the Statue of Liberty was a long time ago when we were actually welcoming immigrants to to come to our great nation with so much space and opportunity. That is not who we are today. Would you have us open our borders and let the entire hoard of thousands upon thousands of Mexican, Central American, and South Americans migrants pour illegally into our country. Let us do this Bull because the message on the Statue of Liberty is what defines us as a country.
