Looking around at the non-conference schedules for a majority of teams - I am baffled at how many of them play FCS opponents. In the Big 12 particularly, there are 6 schools playing an FCS opponent on this opening week. I know a lot of people complain about our non-conf and home slate - but I am thankful that our AD and coaching staff are not scheduling a scrimmage once a year. FAU, UCLA, and Army is our 'down' year for scheduling - I'll take that. I do realize that we have FCS opponents on the schedule in the future - and that's disappointing, but at least it is not our normal every year tradition to do so.
