What is real and what's fabricated? I have no idea and I'm glad I'm not paid to try to sort that out. This nugget is just a small one, can't imagine every story/rumor that our guys had to chase and squash.

After Dan Lanning interviewed Tuesday, he was told that he was #1 on the list and they would sit on it to get him get through the CCG.
Lanning's best friend said he had the job going in to the weekend. SI was supposed to wait until post game to break the news. The leak happened and OU fans on socials went crazy, boosters got involved, and things flipped to Brent.
So apparently the coaches involved didn't even have a fvcking clue what was happening.
