UGA smelled out Brown as the pitch man in the first half and now we bring in Kyler Murray for the same no gainer? At least give Baker a chance to win it. Nope....

Or I would have settled for Sermon complimenting Anderson busting runs up the gut....but nope.

Also, we were schooled on KOs in the 3rd Q - they kicked high that with the ball landing inside the 5, which we should have let go into the endzone, but we fielded them and ended up with 15 yard line average. Then proceeded to pass while UGA blitzed, instead of running it up the gut Anderson and Sermon.

Sure Mike needs to go, but just like 2 years ago versus Clemson, Riley proves himself unable to make 2nd half adjustments aside from a single drive. Depressing....

I have been disgusted since the LSU, USC, Florida National Title Game losses and the Clemson Playoff loss, this one just does not matter as much to me. Getting used to it I guess. I am beginning to think we are the Buffalo Bills of College Football, cursed.

I'm sure there are worse losses, but that doesn't take away from the fact that this lost hurt badly. Maybe it due to such a massive swing between the 1st half and 2nd half. Going into halftime it was just a feeling that OU was in the drivers seat and no way was this game getting away from them. Then the 2nd half was just a disaster and the crash on emotions from the 1st half high was just depressing. Then the Sooner Magic at the end and OU taking the lead again, only to lead to another defensive letdown letting UGA drive right back down the field.

I watched a couple of UGA games and a few things stuck out. They are very deep with some big and some fast players. Their depth really gassed us. They are very good against the horizontal game and were the entire year. I was surprised with the amount of success we had going horizontal early on. Going horizontal at the end when we had lost a step was negative. Your right about the high kicks. Badet was trotting trying to let the blocks develop like normal, when he just needed to fly. They took away our TE play. Their DBs blanketed our receivers. The refs called a loose game. Their QB was calling run audibles very effectively and he threw some very accurate balls. I think Mayfield took some damage from uncalled late hit. There were a couple of times Mayfield should have just tucked it but he may have been playing with pain already. I hope Riley learned a few nuances of the game last night. At times like this go back and look at the 1996 season, it'll make you feel better. GO SOONERS!

After giving it a day to think it over, I'm doubling down. Yeah, really.
I've been around for all of the Major Losses of the last 60 Years, starting with the Granddaddy of them all, the ND Heartbreaker. My Reactions to them have been Shock...Disappointment...Disgust...Until NOW. Today, I am GRIEVING for the Rose Bowl Loss...NOT because we lost the game, but because in my gut...My deepest FEAR is that we may have lost the FUTURE of OUr Beloved OKLAHOMA ...
