Good job texas

No I don't think many teams do it the way Texas did it. He looked to the sideline as he was trying to get off. He was told to flop from the sideline before he flopped.
Most teams that do it for an advantage just stay down to stop the clock.
He was really hurt the coaches could have called a time out. They had him flop to save a penalty. They ended up having to use a time out anyway.
That was a big ole Texas flop and ridiculous. Besides this is Charlie's Angels they can't cheat.
Some of Charlie's "core values" on display.

Texas redshirt freshman linebacker Edwin Freeman will be out 6-8 weeks because of a shoulder injury he sustained against California, according to Ryan Autullo of the Austin American-Statesman.
So a shoulder injury challenged his ability to walk and run. Got it. That actually makes some sense for this Strongly coached team. From coin tosses to QBs and OCs, Strong makes the obvious seem difficult.

It doesn't matter how you spin it, he flopped. He probably injured his shoulder during that flop as he sure didn't have any outward sign of injury when he hit the turf with quite the dramatic flair. Or maybe he injured it while trying to walk on his hands to the locker room at halftime. Who knows?

Makes sense to me. I'm assuming he was confused if Texas was gonna be able to get a sub in for him, and hell with Cal about the run a play there's really no other choice but hit the ground. If a dude is hurt and needs to get off the field and an uptempo offense doesn't allow them that chance, then hit the ground.

He wasn't hurt until someone on the sideline pointed it out to him. LOL:D

You are missing the point as usual Billy boy.... Texas has been reduced to faking injuries to compete with a middle of the road Pac 12 team lmao Ou will run the Horns out of the Cotton bowl
Caution there dfw. Our O-Line needs to significantly improve each week to do as you assert. Right now, Texas' DL is superior to our O-Line.

Texas will have to pick their poison though between our run and pass plays. Shut down one or the other and what they give us will likely truck 'em.

Then again, even with a bum shoulder a person can still walk around and not really appear all that hurt right? He does seem to be favoring his right arm/shoulder a bit now that I look at it after hearing he had a legit injury. Prolly was told to just lay down since they weren't gonna be able to sub in time ad didn't want to waste a timeout.

I'm waiting for you to not take Texas' side on an argument. Because that was blatant. If you'd ever had a shoulder injury that would keep you from playing for 6-8 weeks, he'd be in a lot more pain.

How do you know he's not in alot of pain?? Some people have a higher tolerance for pain than others. But are you claiming he is faking an injury because you don't think he is acting as if he is in enough pain for actually having a shoulder injury that will sideline him for 6-8 weeks??

Oh and btw...ends up Texas did in fact use one of their timeouts during that stoppage. So how exactly was it cheating like some want it to be?

Look...I know many OU fans on here want to hang onto this because ya'll want to believe SO BADLY that this kid was purely faking so ya'll can have ammo to make fun of and troll Texas, but fact is the kid ended up having a legit injury that is keeping him off the field for a couple of months. I was first up on the flame bandwagon the night it happened, but then to find out the kid was actually hurt tends to change the situation.

I mean if you want to see a video that is the most incredible fake injury ever, watch the Bowling Green player against Tennessee that is holding his shoe, then falls down and plays dead. There has never been a report later about him having a legit injury.

Yea he could be out with a legit injury but a bad shoulder doesn't cause you to fall down. He was faking it.

So you would want one of OUs players to stay on the field with an injured shoulder just because it's not something that would cause them to fall down?? He may have been faking being injured badly enough to have to lay on the turf, but he had a legit injury and needed to get off the field. And like I already said, Texas used one of their timeouts to stop the game anyways.

Not to ever defend a longhorn, but when I've seen guys separate their shoulder, it looks incredibly painful and depending on the severity of the injury, it probably hurts too much to walk at first. When looking at the video, the guy's arm is hanging from his shoulder and it appears he cannot or does not want to move it. Looked like a legitimate injury to me and the coaches did the right thing by telling him to get down, despite with the Cal QB or some OU fans think.
