Very interesting chat for a Monday. Started off slow then lagged off even more when the dynamic duo, Carey & Eddie, stopped in talking about the Big D. I didn’t know they were married, let alone getting a divorce. As always, it is the kids who suffer the most.
First half of the chat was dominated with recruiting talk. Which is all well and good, but as any long lasting recruiting follower will tell you, it can all change. I mean if you can’t count on 17 year old boys being sound and solid in what they say and do what hope is there for congress to be sound and solid in what they do.
Josh threw Eddie under the bus for not sending in info about Draper’s grandpappy being an OSU donor. I guess Josh wants to live with Carey after the split… Or maybe he just wants Carey to take him to Wally World this summer. Stay tuned for more developing developments in this already developed story.
Carey is Clark, Josh is Rusty, Eddie is Ellen, Pinn is Audrey, SiKS is Cousin Eddie,Gern is Roy Wally, Donald is the Motorcycle cop, RedZone is the car salesman and RJ is Christi Brinkley.
Much like Obi Wan was the only hope for Princess Lea in Star Wars, Perine is the only hope to fix OU recruiting. I wonder what Bob would look like in a bikini chained to Jabba. I’ll have to ask Redzone as I’m told he has said picture framed and signed hanging in his den.
Unless a miracle happens and we get a huge LB haul, Kish will be out next year. But hey, it could happen, after all, Kish was there when Moses parted the waters and he might have learned a thing or two… Expect OU to have a great LB class in 2055.

Whether OU can beat BU depends on QB play. If that doesn’t make you throw up a bit in your mouth nothing will.

CT’s judgement was clouded when it came to talking up Good and the same is happening with Boulware. In other breaking news, we landed on the moon and the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor.
Word on Wood is he is working at a landscaping company and living with his girlfriend and their 19 kids. I think he needs to start a lumberjack company instead of cutting grass. Wood Would Cut Wood.
Chandler is on assignment at OU’s Double A affiliate in NEO.
Can count on Bob getting asked about Mixon. Expect Bob to go all Hulk and take out the first row of reporters till Scarlett Johansen can calm him down.
Carey thinks it will be 8-9 on coach speak from Bob… I’m betting he turns it all the way up to 11.
Carey thinks the starting secondary at years end will be Sanchez, Jordan Thomas, Steven Parker, and Haughton… Barring injury and/or general suckiness.
Cook recruits like BV used to… So you are saying there’s a chance.
If Josh takes off Sunday expect commits from Barnes and/or Cobb.
Boulder is a better road trip than Columbia MO. I’m not sure how that is even a question. That is like asking if you would want a prime steak cooked perfectly or shoe leather that your dog has been gnawing on for the past week. Think about your questions people. Bob got away more than usual this summer. So instead of working 1 day this summer like he has done in the past he has vacationed 100% of the time.
