I absolutely despise OU as a institution. The handling of Mixon along with so many others over the years is beyond despicable. However, my hate for such a place can not get in the way of being such a HUGE fan of Buddy Hield. He may be the most likable kid in the history of college sports. He is so damn polite and just a cute kid. That interview with Holly Rowe after the LSU game was something else.

Already a big Thunder fan and I hope like hell one day he could join Durant. Buddy has got to be #1 in the draft.

I guess Edwin Simmons doesn't ring a bell? After being arrested for standing outside a girl's window totally nude and described by police as, "in a daze," he was suspended a whopping two games before returning to the team... Yeah, they have a long history of flouting societies conventions going back to the old SW conference days.
Not only one of the last D!s to allow black players, it's more than ironic that it was Southern Methodist that suffered the death penalty instead of the Horns.

There are a couple of great things going on this year in college basketball, and yes, I'd say that even if OU weren't number one in the country.

One thing is the impact of shaving five seconds of the shot clock. It's added a tempo to the game that has made it the best I've ever seen. I don't think it's related, but it's also been a year when the teams with multiple upper class starters have been terrific. I really don't know much about Carolina's team, but I know they start two seniors. And OU as we've started to hear five times per broadcast, has three seniors and a junior who have had all those consecutive starts together.

Iowa is like fifth in the country. And they're starting four seniors and a junior. Kansas starts two seniors, two juniors and a soph, and their top three bench guys are a senior and two juniors.

Villanova starts two seniors and two juniors. Carolina.(I went back and looked it up)

I think the speeded up half court offenses have put a premium on experience and I love it. Guys that are sticking it out, and getting their educations are excelling this year.

I love this season in college basketball. Maybe across the country, we'll have fewer guys coming out to be late second round draft picks, behind a dozen players from Europe.

3 years ago we kicked a 5* receiver out of town for decking a guy OVER a girl. We recently sent
sent 2 stud receivers packing for being charged with sexual assault only later to be found not guilty.

Promise one damn thing, at Texas we will never welcome any loser that punches a girl in the face, holds a screw driver to a girls neck in the middle of the desert threatening to kill her or take on a major drug dealer transferring from another school. Ever.

No, you just give every player a "designated fall guy" when they get there. "Oh no officer, those were my drugs", "Oh no officer, I was driving"; "Oh no officer, that building jumped out in front of our car while we driving home from bible study at 3:00 a.m.". Major drug dealer? Seriously?
