6 PM start and I'd expect it to be the annual PPV game. For obvious reasons, I'm really looking forward to this game.
A game I’ve waited many years to see and it may be on PPV, instead of the game with The University of Basketball at Kansas.
Not happy. Maybe it will be on later in the week.
In 2010, OU played Air Force in Norman in a game in which OU was heavily favored. OU barely survived Air Force’s ground attack and won 27-24.
As Air Force did that day, I expect Army to give the same kind of effort.
The networks may not agree.
My hope is that, if the Army game is shamefully moved to PPV, that ESPNU will show it the following week. I don't mind not seeing it live. I just want to see it.Army will be breaking in a new QB which is huge in any option based attack and especially in an early season game. Army has to keep the ball away from OU and get a steady three or four yards per play while converting a ton of fourth and short opportunities. While I'm hoping for a competitive game, I have a fairly strong suspicion that OU won't break a sweat.
I have 12 tickets to the game for an obvious family reunion opportunity with some serious travel involved for some of my children and their families. Can't wait.
You likely won't be seeing it on ESPNU. The PPV games are actually Fox games since they have 1 football game per season under their Tier 3 rights package. My hope is that, if the Army game is shamefully moved to PPV, that ESPNU will show it the following week. Seeing OU hang 50-60 on Kansas doesn't interest me.
Local sports stations here in Connecticut (YES, NESN, SNY) may be televising the game locally. You likely won't be seeing it on ESPNU. The PPV games are actually Fox games since they have 1 football game per season under their Tier 3 rights package.
That would be cool. I'll be working the gane. Yay me! [/sarcasm]Local sports stations here in Connecticut (YES, NESN, SNY) may be televising the game locally.
This game in 2010 vs Air Force was OU's 800th all-time victory.
I recall Stoops having his ground game eat up the closing minutes to keep Air Force's offense off the field and to preserve the win, which had a few OU fans unhappy at not scoring more points. And this win was a week after OU destroyed a good Florida State team 47-17.
