or 37-14.

Lawrence Phillips is going to stand trial for the murder of his prison cell mate.

But worse, HC Mike Riley is in the middle of a rape accusation from when he was at Oregon State 16 years ago and the lady is suing OSU over Title IX. She says he created a "sexually hostile culture," that led to her being raped in 1999.

No wonder Nebraska hired him. He should fit right in.

I've actually been there, but the name of the town is Gun Barrel City. It's on Cedar Creek Lake, not to far from Palestine Texas, where AD played high school football, and closer to Athens Tx where Jon and Karl Milstead, Sooners older than me played football.

I have two customers with a lake house, whose address is Gun Barrel City. It's about an 80 minute drive from my home/office if the traffic isn't congested, which it almost always is.

This doesn't look like something Plaino would write.

And yet ....

The culture at Nebraska historically is to look the other way about felonies and other issues. And their fans come over here and attempt to sit on some high horse. It goes back, at least in my memory, to Johnny Rodgers playing after armed robbery of a gas station.

You toss out names like Phillips, Christian Peter, Rich Incognito, among others. Pretty much always there for the big games.

"The culture at Nebraska" = the culture of college football. Nearly every program in the country has some sort of history that showcases the willingness to overlook certain things in the driving desire to win football games.

How is an alleged rape that occurred 15 years ago by the cousin of a football player even remotely related to former Oregon State and current Nebraska coach Mike Riley? Maybe she can go after the counselor or the university, but the coach of the team seems like a bit of a stretch.

Oh, and Phillips is lower than pond scum. A mad, rabid dog that needs to be put down.

There was a huge fight between some Nebraska football players, Chadron State football players, and some Wyoming football players back in the late 80's close to my hometown in Nebraska. The almighty Tom Osborne bailed them out of jail and made sure that none of this hit the press. One of the Chadron players happened to be my neighbor. I went to the University of Wyoming for a year, and heard about it from some of them as well. The culture at Nebraska according to the fans, is that they never do anything wrong. One time I would love to hear them say, we aren't any better than anybody else.

Plus Riley was not coaching at Oregon St. when it happened. He had left after the 98 season.

All I was reporting was that he was part of the lawsuit, which claimed he created a culture at OSU the encouraged violence against women. I'm not saying he did. I'm saying that the plaintiff in the lawsuit named him specifically.
