Seems like we are doing good so far. We have 2 four star DB's with another possibly coming. Maybe the new D staff is making a difference. Now I just hope they can develop these guys to play at the level we need them to.

I seem to recall that Sanders is looked at as either a TE or DE....and Henderson as an H-Back. Both look like they could play other positions well.

Well we desperately need some quality DB's so maybe they might get a look in the secondary. Any word on Bookie? Did he start the spring game?

I thought we covered DBs adequately in the most recent class. We need at least one stud DT and a couple of solid LBs. Just rewatched UWV - Grier didn’t need to throw on us the way they were running at will. The run D dating back to UGA has not been addressed....the D as a whole looked like status quo in the spring game. Hope Hurts gets used to playing all 4 quarters, quick.

I can't recall exactly what DB's we recruited in our last class, but I know our 5 star Bookie didn't work out. Seems like we need an abundance of talent because many are not as advertised.

Bookie didn’t work out as a true freshman but he might work out better for us this year. I wouldn’t write the guy off after just one season.
Agree. And what kind of logic is it in throwing a true freshman under the bus ?
Seems like he read too many press clipping last year as well. Grinch was hired, in part, to turn players like Hiles around.

Bookie made a few edge rushes in the Spring game that would have been QB sacks. I believe they have him at his natural position now. Looking forward to seeing him on the field this year.

we'll see but I have my doubts. He not only looked lost most of the time, but he also is a little slow. Did we all not expect more from a 5 star recruit? I know I sure did. He barely played late n the season

You’re right let’s judge a true freshman playing in a lost culture on the defensive side of the ball with a coach sinking into the Red River. He may fail but if you are ready to call it based on what you saw last year then shame on you. Here is an idea trying focusing on positives, I know it goes against your nature, but you will live longer.

Oh I bow down to your almightyness lol. Never said I gave up on him. I said I was disappointed and expected more from a 5 star with tons of hype. I saw him make one big play last year and that was it. He was beaten constantly and couldn't tackle anyone. I'm sure he will get better but Im not sure he is going to be what most people expected.
