With three OU commits already on board in the '26 cycle and several targets trending toward decisions this fall, I figured it was time for the first mock class.
"So his growth and development — other than the injuries — is exactly what we thought we could potentially get out of him. So he’s going to have a real role for us.”
Could this be the year JJ Hester has a real impact?
OU seems to have injury problems every season. Do we need to reevaluate how we are training these kids so there are less injuries? Since I’m only dialed in to OU football is this happening in similar fashion everywhere else and I’m not realizing it. I just know I feel like we go into every game/season with injury problems and I wanted to know if it’s an OU problem or if it happens everyhwere.
I don’t usually trust anything the sports animal says. But they’re (allegedly) reporting that Arnold has been struggling and could easily lose the QB1 spot. Is there any merit to this?
Here's what Brent had to say about Jackson Arnold and the backup QB, along with notes on Jayden Gibson's injury and Michael Bogawnoski being labled as a "thumper."
In 2022, and 2023 I remember Brent saying a lot, “ we aren’t there yet” and that he felt they had a long ways to go. But this season he definitely seems a ton more confident and for a coach like him to put off that type of confidence in the defense makes me feel really good going into this season.
As I said earlier, I apologize for the delay. Wanted to make sure we were as accurate as can be on this and didn't jump to conclusions. Got all sides of the story good and bad. Hope it was worth the wait. I also was in and out of hotspot service driving back from KC as I took Amy there to celebrate her bday.
