Here’s something …

That shouldn’t necessarily be as much of a surprise as much as it okay let’s all breathe it’s (finally!) over …

But I was told this morning Oklahoma and Team Williams have decided it’s best in everyone’s interest they no longer comtinue any communications. Something — believe it or not — that had continued over the last few weeks.

I don’t think this necessarily means anything on the Jaxson Dart front as much as it means everybody is simply saying, “hey let’s not waste everyone’s time here … he’s not returning”.

It was long believed that CW wouldn’t ultimately end up back in Norman but from what I was told this morning I think you can officially close the book on Caleb Williams at Oklahoma. What a strange chapter that was.

And scene. I don’t know if this brings closure to anyone but hopefully we can start moving on and not worry about it anymore.

Related: Now we wait on Jaxson Dart’s decision.

MY FEARLESS PREDICTIONS FOR THIS SEASON

1. Caleb Williams starts at least one game.

2. Brooks and Mims both reach 1000 yards.

3. Darby is the breakout WR of the year.

4. Swinson plays every OL position this year.

5. OU loses five games (Texas, Iowa St., Oklahoma St., TCU, and Baylor)

6. Wease will not be a factor.

7. Rattler doesn't get drafted in the first round.

8. Big 12 Championship games is Iowa St. vs. Texas

9. OU has two defensive line drafted in the first round.

10. Because of the miscues this season, Riley makes the needed changes to staffing and strategy. OU wins national championship in 2022.

Bonus: Brkic wins kicker of the year and goes in the first round to the Raiders!

(I did get more negative on a few of these and hope I am wrong. I want OU to be the best, but these are the things I would have said if Texas had only beat Tulane by 5 at home)

SHOCKER: TBOW Lied To Dart?!

Gabe said on his podcast that Dart’s family reached out to him and said that Dart was lef to believe he was in a good position to battle for the QB job at USC, then the family found out through back channels that the staff was working on a sizable NIL deal for CW. I mean, we all know TBOW is a snake, but seriously, that dude has NO shame. He seems to be setting that culture off well in LA.
